The NUC takes over North Kansas City HS this Saturday and Sunday where a large group of talented football players will give it their all with hopes of taking their talents to the next level. Every athlete to take the field envisions playing in college, most do all they can in attempting to make it, but few are fortunate enough to make their dreams become a reality.
"Becoming a college football player isn't getting any easier", said NUC CEO & President David Schuman. "The amount of high school football players in America continues to increase year by year, so naturally that decreases the percent of players that make it to the next level.
Luckily, those who are serious about getting recruited can participate in the combine. During the last five years, the NUC guided athletes from all walks of life to college programs nationwide. 70% of their alumni proceeded to play at the next level, while 50% (or 1 in every two) to attend the Ultimate 100 invite camp received a D-1 or D-1AA offer. Are you next? There is only one way to find out.
Current 8th/9th graders have their chance to compete at 8 am and sophomores are scheduled to hit the field at 1 pm this Saturday, while juniors will go to work 1 pm Sunday.
All athletes will partake in pro-style combine testing, including the 40-yard dash, broad jump, bench press, vertical leap, and shuttle run along with position specific drills, 1 on 1’s and 3 on 3 competitions. In addition to the elite athletes receiving coverage on Rivals and Espn.com, statistics of every participant will be sent out to colleges at all three levels.
Athletes can sign up for the KC combine on www.nationalunderclassmen.com or call 1-888-NUC-MVP1 for more details.
