Devonte Mitchell Johnson HS, AL 10th CB #15 | Mitchell, 5'9 144, won the Leadership award. He hustles non stop, running across the field throughout the event, was vocal and had no quit in him. He also had a 9'4 broad jump, ran a 4.4 shuttle and 4.67 40. | |
Truman Franklin Elmore County HS, AL 10th QB #94 | Franklin brought home the QB MVP award. A smart and savy 6'2.5 188 lber, Franklin had an 8'0 broad jump, a terrific arm, good feet and solid mechanics. | |
Brandon Sumpter Gasden City HS, AL 10th CB #13 | Sumpter won the DB MVP. At 5'6.5 139, Sumpter had a 30 inch vertical, 8'0 broad jump, ran a 4.4 shuttle, displayed tremendous ball and coverage skills while changing direction with ease during 1 on 1's. | |
John Mwaituka Thompson HS, AL 10th RB #26 | Mwaituka came up with the RB MVP award after pushing hard throughout the combine. With a 9'1 broad jump, 4.40 shuttle run, 17 reps of 155 lbs on the bench press and a solid performance in the 1 on 1's, the 5'9 178 lb Mwaituka really made a name for himself. | |
Darian Turner Shades Valley HS, AL 10th LB #69 | Turner, 5'11.5 208, won the LB MVP. A terrific athlete, Turner had a 33 inch vertical, 8'6 broad jump, did 29 reps at 155 lbs on the bench press and played passionately during the 1 on 1's. | |
Chester Rogers Lee HS, AL 10th WR #6 | Rogers earned the WR MVP honors with an outstanding performance. At 5'10 153, Rogers had a 31 inch vertical, 9'1.5 broad jump, ran a 4.24 shuttle, made a number of good grabs and knew how to shake off the defenders. | |
Breyon Deberry Handley HS, AL 10th RB #10 | Debery, 5'7.5 183, won the Overall MVP with an unforgettable performance. Deberry had an NBA like 10'1 broad jump, 32.5 inch vertical, ran a 4.29 shuttle, bench pressed 155 lbs 28 times and was in a league of his own during 1 on 1's. He made hard cuts, displayed good hands and is light on his feet. | |
Edward Todd Jr. St. Jude HS, AL 10th WR #2 | Todd, 5'7 142, was the combine's fastest man. Todd ran a speedy 4.46 40, 4.45 shuttle and had a 30 inch vertical. |
