BATON ROUGE LA 11TH grade NUC Schuman’s Outstanding Performance List-National Underclassmen Combines

BATON ROUGE LA 11TH grade NUC Schuman’s Outstanding Performance List
James Richardson
Central HS, LA
11th
CB #14
Richardson came up with the DB MVP after fighting tooth and nail throughout the combine. At 5'8.5 164, Richardson had a 29.5 inch vertical, 8'4 broad jump, ran a 4.45 shuttle, 4.46 40 and had great ball skills. Richardson is not a DB I would want to match up against.

Brock Matherne
Belle Chasse HS, LA
11th
S #10
Matherne took home the co-DB MVP and is definitely a champion on the football field. Matherne, 5'7 172, had a 30 inch vertical, 8'5 broad jump, ran a 4.41 shuttle, 4.53 40, bench pressed 185 lbs 24 times and starred during 1 on 1's. He has great all around coverage skills and a great attitude, giving us little doubt that he can make it at the next level.

Parris Stewart
Ascension Catholic HS, LA
11th
LB #93

Stewart, 6'1 207, won the LB MVP. Stewart had a 30.5 inch vertical, 8'7 broda jump, bench pressed 185 lbs 21 times and was a monster during 1 on 1's. He had great feet, solid acceleration, was easy to coach and gave it his all every time his number was called.

Stevie Douglas
Home School, LA
11th
QB #73
Douglas, 6'4 194, took home the QB MVP for the second consecutive year. Douglas had an 8'6 broad jump, a tremendous release, good feet, outstanding leadership skills, threw a good ball and had a strong arm. Douglas, who improved tremendously from 09' has all of the tools to become the big man on campus.

Matthew Brown
Hammond HS, LA
11th
LB #58
Brown, 5'8.5 196, was awarded co-LB MVP. Brown had a 32.5 inch vertical, 8'10 broad jump, ran a 4.54 40 bench pressed 185 lbs 20 times and was in a league of his own during 1 on 1's. Brown had exceptional speed, great recovery time and played with high intensity.

Tyler Porter
Northside HS, LA
11th
DL #82

A gargantuan 5'10.5 313 lbs, Porter bench pressed 185 lbs 33 times en route to winning the Strongest Man award. Any player as big and strong as Porter will create major problems for an offense.
Montrel Carter
Ceceilia HS, LA
11th
WR #11
Carter dashed around the field en route to winning the Fastest Man award. Carter, 5'7.5 160, ran a 4.41 shuttle, 4.40 40, had a 31 inch vertical and an 8'6 broad jump. Carter's quickness and leaping ability make him a threat at all times.

Raheem Richard
Thibodaux HS, LA
11th
RB #43
Raheem "Combine King" Richard took the event by storm after putting together ridiculous all around numbers. Richard had a Nate Robinson like 39 inch vertical, 9'9 broad jump, ran a 4.44 40 and 4.62 shuttle. Calling this 5'6 152 lb just a "good" athlete would be a flat out lie.

Donald Phillips
Archbishop HS, LA
11th
DL #85

Phillips won the DL MVP. At 5'11 233, Phillips had an 8'1 broad jump, bench pressed 185 lbs 16 times, had good hips, solid quickness, impressive technique and worked hard.
Brandon Taylor
Northshore HS, LA
11th
DL #69
Taylor, a 5'9 228 lb powerhouse, shared the DL MVP with Phillips. Taylor had a 27.5 inch vertical, 4.68 shuttle, bench pressed 185 lbs 21 times and demolished the competition during 1 on 1's. Taylor displayed great leadership, had great moves and busted his tail throughout the session.

Darren Harrell
Marksville HS, LA
11th
OL #100
A massive 6'0 435 lbs (no that isn't an error), Harrell won the Strongest Man and OL MVP awards after looking like a man amongst boys. Harrell bench pressed 185 lbs 33 times and was literally unmovable during 1 on 1's. His power was simply out of this world, he has tremendous quickness for a player his size, moved his hands well and is literally a larger than life figure on the offensive line.

Ezekiel Alsander
Southern Lab HS, LA
11th
OL #88

Alsander, the co-OL MVP at 6'5 287, bench pressed 185 lbs 23 times, had great skills, good hands and great patience during 1 on 1's.
Joshua Johnson
Thibodaux HS, LA
11th
RB #76

Johnson, 5'8.5 177, was the RB MVP. Johnson had a 33 inch vertical, 8'10 broad jump, bench pressed 185 lbs 16 times and was both quick and explosive during 1 on 1's.
Devin Fosselman
Wilkinson County HS, LA
11th
WR #69
The WR MVP at 5'9.5 183, Fosselman is the epitome of a superstar athlete. Fosselman had a Olympic like 39 inch vertical, 9'6 broad jump, ran a 4.63 shuttle, 4.55 40 and made a number of tough catches during 1 on 1's. Is there anything else a QB could ask for from his receiver?

Jermain Johnson
Ellender Memorial HS, LA
11th
WR #66

Johnson, the co-WR MVP at 6'2.5 168, had a 34 inch vertical, 9'8 broad jump, ran a 4.47 shuttle and had very good hands. Although he needs to put on weight, Johnson is a prime time athlete.
Derrick Milton
Pineville HS, CA
11th
RB #74
Just like the old saying goes, you have to save the best for last. Milton, 5'10 189, won the Overall MVP. Milton had a 39.5 inch vertical, 9'10 broad jump, ran a 4.49 shuttle, 4.57 40 and was a monster during the individual period. He had great explosion, good hips and quick feet.
