NUC Returns to Salt Lake City This Weekend!

Skyline HS is the place to be this Saturday for 8-11th graders that are looking to get world class recognition. The NUC previously made their presence felt in Salt Lake City but, for lack of a better words, plan to jazz it up this weekend with more drills, coaching and stiffer competition expected on hand. Just one year ago, a number of D1 prospects entered this very same combine looking to do their best and left with a big smile on their face.
Among those 09' standouts was Manu Mulitalo, 6'2 303, of Granger HS. Muitalo, a gifted center, has exceptional strength and committed to Brigham Young University shortly after the combine.
Rated recruit Zach Liston (a standout wide receiver) also has interest from multiple division1 programs. An exceptional athlete, Liston will bring a 38.5 inch vertical and 9'4 broad jump wherever he ends up. Dustin Grigg (Viewmont) also has interest from local D1 schools.
"In being all the way out west, Utah is almost literally off the radar" joked NUC CEO & President David Schuman. "The thing is we always find a few good athletes out here and most of these kids don't want to travel to Los Angeles or Arizona, so the kids that participate are actually amongst Utah's best."
Current 8th-10th graders are slated to compete at 8 am and juniors will lay everything on the line at 1 pm Saturday.
All athletes will partake in pro-style combine testing, including the 40-yard  dash, broad jump, bench press, vertical leap, and shuttle run along with position specific drills, 1 on 1’s and 3 on 3 competitions.
Athletes can sign up for the Salt Lake City combine on www.nationalunderclassmen.com or call 1-888-NUC-MVP1 for more details.
