The Blanche Ely Tigers have started the season with a bang! Currently they are 8-0 (1-0 in district) and going strong. They have broken a school record by winning 7 games straight and are working on another school record, finishing the season undefeated!!
They started the season ranked #9 in Broward County in the Sun Sentinel poll, and have steadily climbed to reach #2 as of October 27th, behind only St Thomas Aquanis. In the Miami Herald's poll, combining Miami-Dade and Broward County schools, Ely is ranked #5. These rankings combine all Classes, 1A-6A. The AP poll is ranking Blanche Ely at #7 in Florida for 5A schools.
Mike has spent most of the season as the leading QB in Broward, Miami Dade and Palm Beach counties according to both the Miami Herald and Sun Sentinel (all classes 1A-6A). Overall stats as of October 24th: 129 Comp - 250 Att - 1,911 Yds - 20 TD - 9 Int

Further Analysis: Here is the deal, Great hands, amazing route running and spectacular change of direction, moving in and out of his routes seemlessly, i saw him perform at the U100 camp in the Southeast where he was among the top WR's among an amazing group of WR's and really stood out in 7 on 7 when he teamed with his QB, Michael German to stand out and make the championship game in the 7 on 7 tournament. He is undersized, but makes up for it with great game play and route running. I see him as a great complimentary slot receiver at the D-1 level. He will be a D-1 player the question will be where? 26-30- big time d-1 prospect 21-25- D-1 Prospect 18-21-1aa Scholarship prospect 14-17-DII Prospect 10-13-DIII Level Prospect We are only evaluating college level athletes, athletes not on college level will not be evaluated.

Prospect: Michael German, Class 2010: QB, 6-2, 195, Blanche Ely HS, FL
Quick Writeup Michael Combines good athleticism with a great arm and consistent passing. He is a tremendous leader and has 4.6 shuttle and 25 inch vert to go along with Passing skills. Awards: QB MVP-Orlando and Miami NUC U100 Southeast Top 100 U100 Top Prospect Camp and rated #2 QB at camp
Further Analysis: Michael is a very intriguing prospect. In one on one's he always displayed great accuracy, timing and delivery. In 7 on 7 tournament in U100 southeast he was inconsistent, showing great flashes, but then he would make some bad decisions. At the U100 Top prospect camp he was on point, amazing in one on ones, great in athletic drills and then superior in 7 on 7 tournament leading his team to the championship game against the heralded Brandon Pechloff. He was tremendous over those two days in Oklahoma and ended up being rated the #2 QB at camp next to Tyler Bray with Pechloff finishing third. Quite accomplishment, he was cool calm, and on film he displays that ability as well, leading a very good Blanch Ely Team in florida. He is a definite D-1 prospect and in the right program with the right development he could become a superstar.
