Miami: So Nice the NUC has to Visit Twice!

Highlands Christian Academy is slated to host the Miami area's inaugural "Beat the Heat" combine this Saturday in sunny Pompano Beach, FL. The BTH event is a major success other cities and with registrations at an all time high, the NUC added a second area event to provide a second chance for local standouts to shine.
The first Miami combine was clearly one to remember, with numerous standouts all but stamping their ticket to D1 scholarships.
American Heritage's Andrew Flory put forth a dominant effort at the first Miami combine, taking home the MVP of the Junior session. Flory's 9'0 broad jump 4.27 shuttle run, size, strength and great hands will be difficult to match.
Sophomore sensation Ryan Janvion was amongst the top tenth graders from all of this year, earning the Overall MVP and Combine King awards. Janvion dropped jaws throughout the combine, with a 38.5 inch vertical, 10'4 broad jump, NFL-esque 3.99 shuttle, 4.58 40, 20 reps at 155 lbs on the bench press and terrific skills during 1 on 1's.
"Athletes like Flory and Janvion are a major part of the reason we are running a second Miami area combine", said David Schuman, the NUC's CEO & President. "I truly believe there are many more great players in this ridiculously talented region that are yet to be discovered, so hopefully we can help showcase some of them this weekend.
Current 8th/9th graders are slated to compete at 8 am, while sophomores and juniors will lay it all on the line 1 pm this Saturday.
All athletes will partake in pro-style combine testing, including the 40-yard  dash, broad jump, bench press, vertical leap, and shuttle run along with position specific drills, 1 on 1’s and 3 on 3 competitions. In addition to the elite athletes receiving coverage on Rivals and Espn.com, statistics of every participant will be sent out to colleges at all three levels.
Those who were not previously selected will also have another chance to earn an invited to the highly touted Ultimate 100 Camp by attending this weekend.
"This is the final weekend of the season, so there literally aren't any other chances to make the U100 after this", stated Schuman. "If kids are serious about their talents and feel we missed them the first time around, there is no better time than this Saturday to showcase their skills."
