Schuman's National Underclassmen Combine returns to Franklin HS for what should be yet another outstanding combine if what took place in 09' is any sign of the talent that will emerge this Saturday.
Just one year ago, monster offensive lineman Thomas "shut down" Gallagher dominated on the very same field where the class of 10' will display their talents this Saturday. The 6'5 315 lb Gallagher demolished the opposing linemen at the Seattle combine, en route to shining the Ultimate 100 and Top Prospect camps.
"Pound for pound, Gallagher was one of the best linemen from all of 2009", said NUC CEO & President David Schuman. "He is also an excellent student so in addition to likely having the chance to play at a top tier program, he has an offer to go to Princeton."
With a winning attitude, great skills and by standing out in the classroom, Gallagher found himself in a position shortly after the combine that millions can only dream of.
"Any time a player is outstanding both academically and athletically, they are in the driver's seat and control their own destiny." "The chance to find another top athlete like him this year definitely excites me and since we have kids traveling from Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Arizona and Idaho to attend, there is definitely a good chance."
A number of talented athletes are expected to show up. All of them share the same goal. Only a handful will emerge amongst the elite. Simply put, if you are interested in finding out how you stack up against the best, there is only way to find out.
Current 8th,9th and 10th graders are slated to compete at 8 am, while juniors go for glory 1 pm Saturday May 29.
All athletes will partake in pro-style combine testing, including the 40-yard dash, broad jump, bench press, vertical leap, and shuttle run along with position specific drills, 1 on 1’s and 3 on 3 competitions. In addition to the elite athletes receiving coverage on Rivals and Espn.com, statistics of every participant will be sent out to colleges at all three levels.
Athletes can sign up for the Seattle combine on www.nationalunderclassmen.com or call 1-888-NUC-MVP1 for more details.
