2014 Georgia State Rankings
The Peach State rankings are finally here! The state of Georgia produces the fourth most DI players in the country. Starting the year out on top is long, lean and athletic defensive end Lorenzo Carter of defending AAAAAA State Champs Norcross. Carter was in on 45 TFL's and 18 sacks in 2012.
He is followed by athletic signal caller Deshaun Watson who led his team to the AAAAA State Championship in 2012. Coming in third is NUC alum and brutal gridiron warrior Raekwon McMillian of Liberty County. In the four spot is versatile defensive end Andrew Williams who helped lead Eagles Landing Christian to the A-Private School State Championship. Rounding out the top five is NUC South Five-Star Overall MVP Tyler Jones of Stephenson High School.
The Georgia State rankings will be updated and expanded two more times prior to signing day. That leaves plenty of room for movement as the state rankings will eventually expand to a Top 75. I look forward to personally attending several games this fall in Georgia.
