Stephenson High School
Marietta, Georgia- No School in the Peach State has produced more FBS or FCS players over the last four years than Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, GA. Since the 2010 signing class the Jaguars have had 42 DI or IAA prospects sign scholarship paperwork. Of those 42 players 22 are NUC alumnus.
Coach Ron Gartrell has been at the helm since the school started playing football in 1996 with an overall record of (144-53). This includes seven conference titles. During the 2012 NFL season the Jaguars had five players on active rosters. They include Jermaine Cunningham, DE (Patriots); Bruce Irvin, DE (Seahawks); Kregg Lumpkin, RB (Giants); Perry Riley, LB (Redskins) and Kelvin Sheppard, LB (Bills).
What better way to celebrate this collaboration than by having every FBS or FCS prospect currently on the Stephenson High School football roster come to the 2013 NUC South Five-Star Showcase. Yes! You heard it here first the Jaguars will be coming in force to show off their football prowess at Lassiter High school this Sunday.
Over 250 athletes from around the South will be on hand to compete in what will be considered by many as one of the most talented camps of the 2013 season. All recruiting services (Rivals.com, Scout.com, 247 Sports, ESPN and SB Nation) are welcome to attend. They will be offered complete access to the camp. We also invite any sportswriters from the local news media to attend.
