| WEEK 9 | |
| NUC High School Rankings Week 9 Four teams in the NUC High School Top25 fell this past weekend. Santa Margarita Catholic, CA is just not the same offensive juggernaut it was with Johnny Stanton. The Eagles fell to Mater Dei, CA 24 to 7. For the second year in a row Byrnes, SC lost to Gaffney, SC in the regular season this time 22 to 18. The Greyhounds of Carmel, IN lost to rival Ben Davis, IN 13 to 7. And Tucker, GA lost for the first time in almost two years falling 13 to 6 to the Jaguars of Stephenson, GA. Replacing those four schools are two new teams (North Allegheny, PA & University, FL) and two previously ranked teams (Grayson, GA & Good Counsel, MD). North Alleghany #22 is led by a tenacious defense that is giving up less than five points per game. Grayson, GA is back in the Top25 at #23 after an early season loss to Parkview, GA. The Suns of University, FL are wreaking havoc in South Florida and come in at #24. Finally Good Counsel, MD makes its second appearance in the NUC High School Top25 after an early season loss to Bishop Gorman, NV. There are a bunch of intriguing matchups or upset alerts this week. #4 Goose Creek travels to Mt. Pleasant, SC to take on an unbeaten Wando, SC (8-0). #7 Colerain, OH hosts an unbeaten Lakota West, OH (8-0). The Volunteer State has two great matchups this week. #10 Whitehaven is on the road against Mitchell, TN (7-1) and #15 Ensworth, TN hosts Brentwood Academy, TN (7-1).
