NJCAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
The National Underclassmen would like to recognize some of the top Junior College performers from this this past week. We are looking for players whose team participates in the NJCAA. Their performance needs to aid their respective school in victory to be considered for this weekly award. Just remember if your goal of playing FBS or FCS football is derailed junior college football may be the avenue to get it back on track. All former NUC participants have an asterisk by their name.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Markeith Ambles*, WR, Arizona Western, AZ
Ambles caught ten passes for 267 yards and two scores in 63 to 38 win over Scottsdale C.C. In three games he has 13 catches for 314 yards and three scores. The Matadors are now ranked #2 in the latest NJCAA Poll.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Marc Mauro*, DB, Nassau C.C., NY
Mauro was in on seven tackles but more importantly he had two picks both of which were returned for scores in 27 to 7 win over Erie C.C. The Lions are now ranked #7 in the latest NJCAA Poll.


OTHER GREAT PERFORAMNCES IN A WINNING EFFORT
Arizona Western College, AZ
Tanner McEvoy, QB- He completed 20 of 31 passes for 417 yards and five touchdowns in 63 to 38 win over Scottsdale C.C.
Butler Community College, KS
Ty Suggs*, RB- Suggs carried the ball 12 times for 123 yards and three scores in lambasting of Highland C.C. 61 to 0.
Cisco College, TX
Scott Hodges, DB- He had ten solo tackles, one TFL, and one interception in 19 to 17 win over Trinity Valley C.C.
Dean College, MA
Jason Sylva*, LB- Sylva recorded nine tackles, three TFL's, one sack, and a forced fumble in 41 to 6 win over Hudson Valley C.C.
Ft. Scott Community College, KS
Antonio Carter, DB- Carter recorded eight tackles, one forced fumble, one pick, and had two pass breakups in 34 to 14 win over Dodge City C.C.
Glendale Community College, AZ
Jon Brown, RB- Brown carried the ball 26 times for 169 yards and three scores in 47 to 33 win over New Mexico Military Institute.
Holmes Community College, MS
Dalvin Taylor, LB- Taylor had 11 solo tackles, one assisted tackle, and a forced fumble in 14 to 12 win over Itawamba C.C.
Dahendrick Thompson, DB- Thompson was in on seven tackles, one fumble recovery, and had two picks in 14 to 12 win over Itawamba C.C.
Jones County Junior College, MS
Devontay Barnett, DB- Barnett had ten solo tackles, three assisted tackles, two TFL's, and an interception in 35 to 28 win over Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C.
Marion Chapman, LB- He was in on an amazing 17 tackles and had one sack in 35 to 28 win over MGCCC, MS.
Ben Stevens, QB- Stevens completed 21 of 31 for 316 yards and four touchdowns without an interception in winning effort.
Kilgore College, TX
Ed'Marques Batties, WR- He snagged seven passes for 104 yards and two scores in huge win over Navarro College, TX.
Louisburg College, NC
DeMarques Martin, WR- Martin caught five passes for 155 yards and two scores in 24 to 22 upset win over Lackawanna College, PA.
Mesa Community College, AZ
Jamal Cox, LB- Cox recorded eight tackles, three TFL's, and one sack in 34 to 21 win over Eastern Arizona College.
Northwest Mississippi Community College, MS
Desmond LaVelle, LB- LaVelle did a little of everything in 19 to 13 win over Northeast Mississippi Community College. He had five tackles, two sacks, one fumble recovery, one interception, and had a pass breakup.
Phoenix College, AZ
Seth Langford, LB- Langford was in on 13 tackles, had a fumble recovery and a pick in 21 to 9 win over Pima Community College.
