-2013 LB Dakota Cox from Draper, Utah (Juan Diego Catholic HS) took a pair of unofficial visits within the past three days when he checked out the University of Utah on Saturday and looked in on BYU on Monday. Cox came away very impressed with his visit to Utah and said afterwards that the Utes would stay in his recruitment all the way throughout his process. Cox said the coaches at Utah really like his abilities and leadership on defense and he feels an offer from the Utes could come very soon. Coaches from BYU have been calling on Cox for a while now and he decided to head over to Provo on Monday to visit with the coaches and see the facilities. Cox has yet to receive his first offer but is currently hearing the most from Utah, BYU, Oregon State, Washington State, UCLA and SMU. He is unsure as to whom he may visit next but he plans to be in Texas on April 28th for the NUC Southwest 5 Star Showcase.
-2015 RB/LB Jacques Patrick (Orlando, FL/Timber Creek HS) took an unofficial visit to the University of Florida on Monday and when he left he had every single coach on the Gator coaching staff drooling over his makeup as a player and the potential he brings to the football field. Patrick said the Florida coaches showed him a lot of love and made him feel right at home. He feels strongly about the Gators and thinks his first official offer could come from them. Patrick plans to make it back up to Gainesville for their spring game and he feels that offer could come there. Patrick made a splash earlier this month at the NUC Florida 5 Star Showcase and put himself on the map as to being one of the top prospects in football for the 2015 recruiting class.
-2013 OG/DT Sergio Phillips from DeSoto HS, TX is a two way lineman who is starting to see the attention from college coaches come his way and this past weekend he competed at a Jr day camp with the SMU Mustangs and according to him the coaches there seemed to be really impressed with his talents. Phillips thought he performed real well in Dallas last weekend and the SMU coaching staff told him that they really like as an offensive lineman but want to see more film on him before they pull the trigger on an offer. Phillips has yet to see his first college offer come his way but is holding out patience that his first offer will arrive soon. Besides SMU, Phillips is also currently being recruited by TCU, Baylor, USC, Florida, SMU, Oregon, Texas, Kansas and Kansas State. Phillips is looking forward to competing with NUC later this month at the NUC Southwest 5 Star Showcase. Underrated prospect who could play on both sides of the line.
-2013 OL Ki-Jana Evans from Chicago, Illinois (Harlan HS) is a potential filled prospect who recently received his first official college offer from Eastern Michigan University and he thinks his second offer is waiting for him in Kalamazoo. Evans is headed to Western Michigan University this weekend for an unofficial visit and he has been told that an offer will be there waiting on him upon arrival. Evans is also set up to visit Central Michigan on April 14th and he also believes an offer could be there waiting on him as well. Right now Evans is just enjoying himself and taking his time with his process. He wants to see who all comes through with an offer before he chooses his school. Evans is attending several combines over the next month but is especially excited about attending the NUC Central 5 Star Showcase in Springfield, Illinois on April 22nd. Solid prospect that is open and interested in anyone.
-2013 S Dontavious Baulkman (Bainbridge HS, GA) is slowly but surely gaining attention on the recruiting scene and seeing interest from D1 football programs begin to come in. No offers yet, Baulkman is hearing from Tennessee, Penn State, UCF and UAB and thinks more schools should become interested over the next 2 months. Baulkman was recently invited to compete at both the UCF Jr day as well as the UAB Jr day and he is especially excited to see UCF. Baulkman claims UCF as his early leader and would seriously consider a commitment if offered. He is also set to attend player camps this summer at both Tennessee and Penn State. Baulkman doesn't have publicity as some recruits in his state but certainly has the talents to play Division 1 college football.
-2013 RB Johnathan Ford from New Hope HS in Alabama went up to Nashville, Tennessee over the weekend to Vanderbilt University for their Jr day event and at the end of his day he was ready to say that the Commodores were real high on his list of schools and a place he would seriously consider committing to. Ford said he felt real comfortable on Vanderbilt's campus and said he could defiantly see himself playing football there. He is headed on an unofficial visit this upcoming weekend to another offered school in Mississippi State. He is looking forward to spending time in Starkville and getting a chance to see more about what State has to offer both on and off the field. Things at this point look to be favoring the Commodores but the Bulldogs could make up ground this coming weekend.
-2013 DL Nick Santa from Bellevue, Washington (Bellevue HS) is an athletic pass rusher who is still waiting for that first college offer but staying humbled and patient while he waits. Santa is currently being recruiting by Washington, Washington State, UCLA, Oregon State, San Diego, Cornell and Yale. He has been able to take an unofficial visit to UCLA and he has it in the plans to visit Washington State very soon. Santa says that Washington State and San Diego are the two schools showing him the most interest at this time. He hopes more schools become interested throughout the spring and summer. Santa is wide open at this time and interested in anyone.
Commitments (3/26/2012)
-2013 Ath Rashad Kinlaw (Galloway, NJ/Absegami HS) gave his commitment on Monday to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Kinlaw is a dynamic athlete who could play on both sides of the ball in college. Kinlaw choose Notre Dame over offers from Boston College, Iowa, N.C. State, Rutgers and Temple.
-2013 OL Andy Dodd (Lindale, GA/Pepperell HS) visiting the University of Alabama over the weekend and on Monday he decided to end his recruitment by committing to the Crimson Tide. Dodd is a massive interior lineman he picked the Tide over Florida State, Ga Tech, Georgia and South Carolina.
-2013 WR Quan Jones (Wylie East HS, TX) committed his services on Monday to Baylor University. Jones decided to stay close to home to play his college ball and he choose the Bears over offers from Arizona, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Virginia.
