Chicago, Illinois (Simeon HS) LB Reggie Spearman received his first official offer two weeks ago from Ball State University and since receiving that first offer he has seen multiple BCS level football programs come calling with strong interest and the feeling that new offers could eventually come their way.

"I have been in contact with a few schools for several months now and Ball State was one of the first schools to show interest in me, so when they offered me I was excited and blessed that someone saw enough in me to offer me a full ride to play football in college. After I picked up that offer from Ball State I started to see more schools contact me and tell me that they are very interested in my abilities and that they want to continue to evaluate me about the possibility of an offer, said Spearman."

Reggie is 6'2 200lb outside linebacker who displays excellent athleticism and overall speed on defense and is a prospect who is steadily rising on the recruiting boards of several top notch football programs. He has seen increased attention begin to come in after coaches have been able to evaluate his junior film and notice that he has potential that has yet to be tapped into. Reggie is set with one offer for the time being but he believes the next offer shouldn't be too far from arriving.

"My recruitment is starting to go into the direction I always hoped it would. I really think the Ball State offer has led to more schools becoming interested in me and showing me more interest. Right now I am currently being recruited the most by Illinois, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Purdue, Iowa State and Northern Illinois. I am really hearing a lot from Illinois right now and I recently came back from taking an unofficial visit there. I really like the new coaches there and I really enjoyed my time there. I would say that either Illinois or Minnesota could turn out being my second official offer, said Spearman."

Reggie is a very humble and focused young man who is willing to sacrifice anything possible just to have the chance to play the game of football. He lives and breathes for every moment he gets to play between the white lines and every chance he gets to compete with his teammates. Reggie's goal this offseason is to work real hard and train himself for a big senior season and make sure he is fully prepared to take his talents to the next level.

"You have no idea how much I want to play college football. Every morning at 6 AM I am up running and training to get ready for a long offseason of football. I am completely dedicated to my craft and wanting to become the absolute best player I can be. I will be out on the road this summer competing at several camps so I hope by the time my senior year arrives I will have multiple options in college to choose from, said Spearman."
