With high school football nearing season's end, National Underclassmen Combine founder and President Dave Schuman analyzed the best players nationwide. After countless hours studying film, Schuman presents his top 10 players by region - here's the West:

10) Ellis McCarthy-Defensive Tackle-Monrovia (CA) Top offers include Florida, Oklahoma and UCLA 6'5, 311 4.9 40 Incredible speed Commands a double team at all times. Compared to Lions DT Ndamukong Suh. Posted 69 tackles and 14 sacks as a junior.

9) Jordan Simmons - Offensive Tackle - Crespi (CA) USC Commit 6-foot-5, 333 Incredible size at the left side. Excellent frame. 3.5 size. Great motor and mean streak.

8) Kyle Murphy - Offensive Tackle - San Clemente (CA) Top offers include Florida, Oregon and USC 6-7, 275 5.1 40 340 bench max 420 squat max 30 vertical.

7) Arik Armstead - Defensive End - Pleasant Grove (CA) 24 Offers, topped by Cal and Texas 6'8, 280 Incredible size. 5.1 40. 4.93 shuttle. 30 inch vertical. Freakish Athlete. Compares to Raiders standout Richard Seymour.

6) Tanner Magnum - Quarterback - (ID) BYU Commit 6-3, 195 4.86 40 4.11 shuttle Great decision maker. Excellent scrambler. Compares to Falcons QB Matt Ryan.

5) Zach Kline - QB-San Ramon Valley (CA) Cal Commit 6'2, 210 4.9 40 4.72 shuttle. Passed for 36 touchdowns and over 3500 yards in 2011. Pro-style QB.

4) Shaq Thompson - Safety-Grant (CA) 12 offers highlighted by USC and Oregon 6-2, 210 Ball-hawk Physical Great size 4.57 40. 4.21 shuttle. 30 inch vertical. Tremendous leader.

3) Joshua Garnett - Offensive Tackle--Puyallup (WA) 15 offers highlighted by Michigan and Notre Dame 6-5, 295 Excellent pass protector Mean streak. Smart player.

2) Aziz Shittu-Defensive Tackle-Buhach (CA) 27 offers, USC and Auburn lead the way 6-3, 275 5.2 40 3.8 GPA Excellent pass rusher up the middle. Freakish athlete with great size Commands a double team.

1) Andrus Peat - Offensive Tackle -Corona Del Sol (AZ) 30 Offers highlighted by Florida State, Auburn and Alabama 6-7, 305 Dual-threat Compares to Ravens great Jonathan Ogden. Long arms and gigantic frame make him hard to beat on the edge. Doesn't overextend himself. Excellent fundemantals.
