NUC Returns to North, NJ This Weekend!

Nutley HS is just twenty five minutes away from the NUC's home office and light years ahead of most combines talent wise. Regardless of geographic advantages for the NUC's core staff, the North Jersey's event has been one of the most anticipated since the combines started back in 05'.
6'0 331 lb phenom Chris Woods was the top athlete at the very same location in 09'. He put forth one of the most dominant performances in NUC history, literally throwing opposing lineman out of the way during 1 on 1's, while many onlookers were in complete disbelief. He has all the tools to become a star at the next level.
Marquise Goods had the goods last year as well, starting at the db position. The 5'11 175 lb Goods was all over the field during 1 on 1's, earning himself a full ride to Temple shortly thereafter.
Defensive end Ethan Posey (a great student athlete headed to Dartmouth in the fall) as well as star underclassmen, Elijah Shumate, Malik Bush, Denzell Leitch and Paul Marshall also put forth superstar performances on Nutley's beautiful turf.
"North Jersey is great because we don't have to travel and there are some excellent players", said David Schuman, NUC CEO & President. "We have players coming from multiple states and top rated programs such as Don Bosco, Bergen Catholic, St. Josephs, Delbarton, St. Anthony's, New Rochelle and Holy Trinity amongst others."
Good call coach!
Numerous players from Bosco, the number one program in the country, played at a high level last year and many of their top players are expected to grace the field this week to compete against athletes from other top schools.
"Jersey's event is everything I can ask for", Schuman said with a smile on his face.
Current 8th/9th graders are slated to compete at 8 am and sophomores are scheduled to hit the field at 1 pm on Saturday, while lay it all on the line this Sunday at 1 pm.
All athletes will partake in pro-style combine testing, including the 40-yard  dash, broad jump, bench press, vertical leap, and shuttle run along with position specific drills, 1 on 1’s and 3 on 3 competitions. In addition to the elite athletes receiving coverage on Rivals and Espn.com, statistics of every participant will be sent out to colleges at all three levels.
Athletes can sign up for the North Jersey combine on www.nationalunderclassmen.com or call 1-888-NUC-MVP1 for more details.
