Coach Schuman: What did you do to prepare for the National Underclassmen Combine?Dustin: I worked hard on all the fundametals of the combine. My 40 starts, the agility cone drill, and vertical.
Coach Schuman:Have you been to the NUC before? How did you do? What were your expectations going into this years event?Dustin: No, I have not attended a NUC combine before this one. I expected to go against some really good talent. And try my best to come out with MVP honors.
Coach Schuman:You were MVP! What are your goals now?Dustin: My goals now are to win MVP in every camp/combine I attend this Spring and Summer.
Coach Schuman:How did you hear about the National Underclassmen Combine and what was your favorite part about the event?Dustin: I saw the camp online. My favorite part was of coarse the 1on1's.
Coach Schuman:If you can choose 5 schools where you would be interested in playing what would they be?Dustin: My schools of interest are: Arizona State, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, UCLA, and Alabama
Coach Schuman:What do you like about high school football? What are your goals for your team and yourself?Dustin: The best part, for me, has to be waiting in the lockerroom right before we run out on Friday Nights! My goal this year is to just get better at playing the game. My team's goal is to win a State Title for our team, school, and community.
Coach Schuman:Do you play other sports? Tell about your accomplishments?Dustin: Yes, I play basketball but gave up Spring sports to focus on football.
Coach Schuman:What is your favorite thing about football? What makes it a great sport to you?Dustin: My favorite thing about playing football is just playing under the "Friday Night Lights!" The thing that makes the sport great, is just the team unity. And the brothership you create with your teammates.
Coach Schuman:Tell me about your training regimen...How do you get better every day?Dustin: At my school we have an athletic hour, so i do all my lifting then, then i go to work until 5:30 then come back for all my footwork drills, speed drills, and after we throw around for awhile.
Coach Schuman:What are you looking for in college? Academically? football?Dustin: What im looking for in a college is just a easy city to get around. Not too far from home, but far enough. Overall im looking for a successful progam with nice facilities and a great coaching staff. In academics, I would love a strong Engineering department.
