NUC Alum-Tony Jefferson of Chula Vista---Signed with Oklahoma

Tony Jefferson, Chula Vista HS, CA Class of 2010: Jefferson displayed the potential to be an elite player from the moment he stepped onto the field at the 08’ San Diego combine. Jefferson, 6’0 196, has a tremendous understanding of the game and developed into a terrific safety after previously playing RB and LB. Jefferson runs a 4.5 40 and has tremendous feet, thus his ability to make a play is second to none. Jefferson, a top tier recruit, heads to the University of Oklahoma in the fall, turning away offers from USC, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, Tennessee. Stanford and Oregon among others.

Future Outlook: Jefferson is evidently the kind of player that can turn into a superstar at the next level, but it will take time. Luckily, he has a terrific head coach in Bob Stoops and a great support system to guide him through the transition from high school to college. After taking the time to get acclimated, Jefferson should fit into the Sooners’ plans nicely.
