Mahwah, NJ (November 26, 2010) - Tremayne McNair of Jacksonville, NC is set to play in the first ever National Underclassmen Combine All World Gridiron Classic.
A highly touted outside linebacker, McNair had 80 tackles and 7.5 sacks last season, en route to earning an All-Conference and All-Area selection. The 6'2 225 lb prospect is one of the most heralded recruits from North Carolina and will lace up for Georgia Tech next season. "I am really looking forward to seeing what Tremayne can do," said NUC CEO & President David Schuman. "I've heard so many great things about his ability and the fact that he will be playing for Georgia Tech tells you the kind of talent he has off the bat."
McNair is equally excited about the opportunity to participate in the All World Gridiron Classic.
" It feels pretty good," McNair, who will join future teammate Jabari Hunt Days in the game, said of his selection. "All of my hard work has paid off and I am honored to be in the game."
He also recognizes that a solid showing will give him a huge boost going into college.
"A good performance will enhance my confidence and I also look forward to meeting new players (at the game)."
