Bring On The Schuman's NUC Combines

People always ask us what showcase events and camps they should attend and what events are worth the price of admission.  Every year parents and prospects are faced with the the oft daunting task of trying to get enough exposure to have a shot at making the collegiate ranks.  This weekend is one of those events we really like and one such opportunity.

The National Underclassmen Combine (NUC) is coming back to Washington and Oregon this weekend.  In its 11th year the NUC founded by Coach Dave Schuman has become the biggest and one of the most respected events of its kind.

The Events Come to Seattle on Friday for Combine Prep and Saturday for the Main event at Franklin High School; Oregon's event is Sunday at West Salem High School.  There are different times that the events start for various grade levels so make sure to get all the information right here:

Here is what parents and players can expect and why the event is such a great opportunity.

They will also be looking for people to invite to their Junior days and other events. Rivals.com will be getting highlight tapes from us at the event. Top athletes will also get written about and included on their sites if they feel you have Division 1 potential.

4. A chance to be one of the top 200 athletes chosen for the Ultimate 100 Camp Regional Camps. In 2010 our Ultimate 100 camp will have 5 camps, 1 for each region. Due to our increase in number of events and participants, we will give more top athletes an opportunity to participate. Our Ultimate 100 Camps will take place in June, July and will be in Atlanta, NYC area, Dallas, and Los Angeles. Over the past two years 50% of the athletes chosen for the Ultimate 100 camp have been offered D-1 Scholarships. The results will go out to all colleges all levels, D-1, 1aa, II and III.

We will also develop a Top 100 List for each region and rank a National U100 list. These lists and MVP results will go out to every college as well. U100 Top Prospect Camp will choose the invites from the U100 Regional Camps

5. An opportunity to test at and compete against the best freshman and sophomores in your region to give you an even playing field for the future and give you a gauge of where you are at for the future events you may go to.
