NUC Returns to Charlotte this Weekend!

The National Underclassmen Combine takes center stage this weekend at Robert L Patton HS, with some of the area's best prospects expected to showcase their abilities.
The 2009 camp was capped by a ridiculous performance by Northwest Cabarros HS' Grant Keyes, who won the Overall MVP and Combine King awards.  The talented 6'1.5 172 lb defensive back had a 34.5 inch vertical, 10'5 broad jump, 4.52 40 and solid skills as a DB.
6'5.5 280 lb monster Adam Stern (Asheboro) really created an interest following his impressive performance just one year ago. Stern has size, strength and good technique, making him a nice prospect heading into the next level.
Dylan Williams (Marvin Ridge) Rob Cloninger (Jay Robinson) and Marcus Byrd (St. Stephens) were amongst the other top performers expected to be difference makers at some point playing at the next level.
"Charlotte, NC is definitely one of our fastest growing markets", said NUC CEO & President David Schuman, who says the 2010 registrations should exceed the prior year's. "Any time you have a rapid increase in players, there is an increase in talented prospects."
Current 8th/9th graders are slated to compete at 8 am and sophomores are scheduled to grind it out on the gridiron 1 pm on Saturday. Juniors hit the field 1 pm this  Sunday, April 18.
All athletes will partake in pro-style combine testing, including the 40-yard dash, broad jump, bench press, vertical leap, and shuttle run along with position specific drills, 1 on 1’s and 3 on 3 competitions.
Athletes can sign up for the Charlotte combine on www.nationalunderclassmen.com or call 1-888-NUC-MVP1 for more details.
