Mark "The Don" Herndon, 5'7.5 175, brought home the Overall MVP award after an outstanding all around day. The Ocola Forest HS running back is a sensational athlete, with a 32 inch vertical, 10'2 broad jump, 4.40 shuttle run and 4.59 40. In bench pressing 155 lbs 22 times, he has solid strength. Most importantly, Herndon was in a league of his own during 1 on 1's, wowing our coaches with his abilities. There is major talent here.
Edward Sardinha (Palm Beach Central) is a gifted receiver with solid athleticism. At 5'11 179, Sardinha has a 31 inch vertical, 9'0 broad jump, runs a 4.38 shuttle and bench presses 155 lbs 21 times. He has good hands, nice quickness and displayed a number of moves to break free of the defensive backs en route to winning the WR MVP. Expect to hear more about Sardinha soon.
Kadeem Thomas (Godby) is a hard working linebacker and your prototypical team leader. The 5'11 222 lb standout is vocal and leads by example. He had an 8'8 broad jump, bench pressed 155 lbs 23 times and was a monster during 1 on 1's en route to winning the LB MVP and Leadership awards.
Brian Grove (The Kings Academy) was the best player amongst the running backs and was awarded the RB MVP following a solid day's work. The 5'9 188 lb Grove had a 32 inch vertical, 9'3 broad jump, ran a 4.58 40, bench pressed 155 lbs 18 times and did it all during 1 on 1's. Grove was definitely in a groove.
Vincent Smith (Meroitt Island) is quite the athlete for a QB. Slender and quick at 5'11 166, Smith ran a 4.34 shuttle, had a 33 inch vertical, 9'0 broad jump, displayed nice footwork and solid mechanics. Smith is definitely what you would call a dual threat.
Craig Brodsky (Fleming Island) is a shut down machine and a wide receivers' worst nightmare. The 5'9.5 194 lb Brodsky jammed the WR's like a basketball, had an 8'4 broad jump, ran a 4.15 shuttle and easily stole the show during 1 on 1's.
Top tier linemen James Gelsey (Camden County, DL) and Ty Darlington (Apopka, OL) must also get special recognition amongst the elite.
From Disney World to the gridiron, Orlando is definitely the place to be.
