It's time to find out who the Top 60 players are in the West region of the country according to the National Underclassmen. The states included in the West rankings are AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, ND, NV, OR, SD, UT, WA and WY. Each player is taken straight from their respective State Rankings.  The prospects listed below are worth one point towards his eventual signing day teams recruiting ranking. The players are listed in alphabetical order by first name.
Of the Top 60 players 15 of them are considered alumnus having participated in at least one NUC sponsored event. California leads the way with 32 prospects in the initial West Top 60. Arizona is next with seven followed by Oregon and Utah with four each. Colorado and Washington have three representatives while Hawaii, Idaho, and Nevada place two players a piece in the West Top 60. Yes! Wyoming has one representative this year.
We look forward to updating the West Top 60 two more times prior to signing day. The regional rankings directly affect the NUC team recruiting rankings. Several of the players listed below will make the NUC Ultimate 175 (The top 175 players in the country). These prospects will be worth an additional half point towards his signing day schools recruiting ranking.

1.       Adoree' Jackson, DB, Junipero Serra, CA
Jackson was in on 56 tackles, seven PBU's and five picks.

2.       Ainuu Taua, DL, Lompoc, CA       
Taua was named First Team All-LA Times.

3.       Alex Van Dyke, WR, Cosumnes Oaks, CA
Van Dyke was named Second Team All-Metro.

4.       Allan Havili, DL, Stansbury, UT   
Havili was named 3A Second Team All-State.

5.       Andrew Mike, OL, Sabino, AZ    
Mike was named First Team All-State.

6.       Barry Ware, WR                , Centennial, CA               
Ware caught 41 passes for 915 yards and ten scores.

7.       Brandon Dawkins*, QB, Oaks Christian, CA
Dawkins threw for 2,135 yards and 17 scores.

8.       Bryan Mone, DL                , Highland, UT   
He was named 4A First Team All-State.

9.       Budda Baker, ATH, Bellevue, WA
Baker is a two-way standout for traditional power Bellevue.

10.   Casey Tucker, OL, Hamilton, AZ
Tucker was named First Team All-State.

11.   Chase Blakley, TE, Coeur d'Alene, ID
He caught 54 passes for 600 yards and eight touchdowns.

12.   Christian Martinek, DL, Jesuit, OR
Martinek was named 6A First Team All-State.

13.   Christian McCaffrey, RB, Valor Christian, CO
McCaffrey was named 2012 Gatorade State Player of the Year.

14.   Cole McGinnis, OL, Gooding, ID
He was named First Team All-State on both sides of the ball.

15.   Connor Humphreys, DL, Central Catholic, OR
He was named 6A First Team All-State.

16.   Curtis Bolton, LB, Vista Murrieta, CA
Bolton recorded 96 tackles and 15 sacks in 2012.

17.   Dallis Todd, WR, LaMirada, CA   
Todd had 72 catches for 1,041 yards and ten scores.

18.   Dalton Schultz, TE, Bingham, UT               
He had 34 catches for 491 yards and three scores.

19.   Damien Mama, OL, St. John Bosco, CA
He paved the way for 38 points per contest last year.

20.   Darrell Cloy, TE, La Habra, CA     
Cloy is an athletic tight end that causes matchup problems.

21.   Derik Calhoun, LB, El Cerrito, CA               
Calhoun was named First Team All-Metro.

22.   Devante Downs*, ATH, Mountlake Terrace, WA
Downs was named AP 3A Honorable Mention All-State.

23.   Dwight Williams*, LB, Junipero Serra, CA
Williams accounted for 158 tackles and three picks.

24.   Greg Hoyd, LB, Vista Murrieta, CA
Hoyd was in on 94 tackles and 10 TFL's Last year.

25.   Jalen Brown*, WR, Mountain Pointe, AZ
Brown caught 67 passes for 1,235 yards and 18 scores.

26.   Jalen Harvey, WR, El Cerrito, CA               
Harvey was named Second Team All-Metro.

27.   Jamardre Cobb, LB, Salesian, CA
Cobb was in on 82 stops and 11 sacks in 2012.

28.   Joe Mixon, RB, Freedon, CA
Mixon ran for 1,443 yards and 20 scores in 2012.

29.   Joey Alfieri*, LB, Jesuit, OR
Alfieri was named 6A First Team All-State on both sides of the ball.

30.   John Smith, WR, Long Beach Poly, CA
Smith had six picks and nine TD catches last year.

31.   Jonathan Lockett*, DB, Mater Dei, CA
Lockett was in on 43 tackles and seven picks last year.

32.   Jordan Hoiem, LB, Baldwin, HI
Hoiem excels as a pass rushing outside linebacker.

33.   Jordan Poland, OL, LaJolla Country Day, CA
This giant offensive tackle also had 22 tackles on the season.

34.   Kaleb McGary, OL, Fife, WA       
This two-way star was in on 51 stops in 2012.

35.   Kalen Ballage, LB, Falcon, CO      
Ballage was named First Team All-State.

36.   Keller Chryst, QB, Palo Alto, CA 
Chryst threw for 2,489 yards and 28 scores in 2012.

37.   KJ Carta-Samuels*, QB, Bellarmine Prep, CA
He was named QB MVP at NUC Top Prospect Camp.

38.   Korey Rush*, DL, East, UT           
Rush was named 3A First Team All-State.

39.   Kyle Allen*, QB, Desert Mountain, AZ
Allen threw for 3,119 yards and 36 scores.

40.   Lamone Williams, DL, Kahuku, HI             
Williams was part of (12-0) State Championship Team.

41.   Malik Dorton, DL, St. John Bosco, CA
Dorton was named First Team All-League.

42.   Mark Andrews, WR, Desert Mountain, AZ
Andrews caught 81 passes for 1, 494 yards and 21 touchdowns.

43.   Marquis Ware, ATH, Salesian, CA
Ware is a two-way standout.

44.   Michael Lazarus, LB, Berkeley, CA
Lazarus is a versatile player and a standout on both sides of the ball.

45.   Michiah Quick, DB, Central East, CA
Quick helped guide team to an (11-3) record.

46.   Nathan Starks, RB, Bishop Gorman, NV
Starks ran for 1,821 yards and 27 scores in 2012.

47.   Natrell Curtis*, OL, Mountain Pointe, AZ
Curtis was named First Team All-State.

48.   Nick Wilson*, RB, Central East, CA
Wilson ran for over 1,500 yards and 16 touchdowns.

49.   Nifae Lealao, DL, Capital Christian, CA
He recorded 89 tackles and 20 TFL's in 2012.

50.   Rodney Carr, DB, Salesian, CA   
Carr ran for over 500 yards and had 92 tackles on the season.

51.   Royce Freeman, RB , Imperial, CA
Freeman was named First Team All-San Diego.

52.   Sam Jones*, OL, Thunderridge, CO         
Jones was named First Team All-State.

53.   Sione Taumoeanga, DL, Roosevelt, OR
He recorded 108 tackles and 13.5 sacks in 2012.

54.   Sulaiman Hameed*, ATH, Alameda, CA
Hameed is a versatile athlete that could project at several positions.

55.   Taven Bryan, OL, Natrona County, WY   
Bryan was named 4A First Team All-State.

56.   Toa Lobendahn, OL, LaHabra, CA
He helped guide team to the Freeway League Title.

57.   Tyler Luatua, ATH, LaMirada, CA               
Luatua had 43 catches for 594 yards and eight scores in 2012.

58.   Tyler Whiley*, DB, Chaparral, AZ              
While score ten touchdowns and recorded 49 tackles.

59.   Tyrell Crosby*, OL, Green Valley, NV
He was named Las Vegas NUC Overall MVP.

60.   Viane Talamaivao, OL, Centennial, CA
He was key cog in team that averaged over 50 points per game.
