2012 NUC Midwest Five-Star Showcase Flashback

Cincinnati, Ohio- Last year several players came into this camp with one or no offers and soon after blew up on the recruiting front. No prospect epitomized the first sentence like Mike Tyler of Brecksville Broadview Heights High School, OH. Having one Ivy League offer he ended the recruiting process with over 15 DI offers eventually signing with Stanford. Then there was (2014) Thaddeus Snodgrass a receiver from Springfield High School, OH holding a Toledo offer. He now has more than 15 DI offers and is rated a four-star by several recruiting sites. Below are just some of the standouts from last year's camp.
Dalton had a great body and proved to be very physical at the point of attack.
2. Devon Edwards, TE, Eastmoor, OH (2013) Pitt Signee
Edwards has the body to become an every down tight end.
3. Isaiah Gourdine, DB, Farmington, MI (2013) Bowling Green State Signee
He had a flat out great performance using his long arms to break up several passes.
4. Lucas Hamilton, TE, Lenoir City, TN (2013) MTSU Signee
Hamilton has a huge target with soft hands earning TE MVP.
5. Ryan Hunter, OL, Canisius, NY (2013) Bowling Green State Signee
Hunter proved to have soft feet despite his huge frame earning OL MVP.
6. Jacob Hyde, DL, Clay County, KY (2013) Kentucky Signee
Hyde is just a physically strong kid that can collapse the pocket.
7. Sampson Levingston, WR, Cathedral, IN (2013) Indiana State Signee
Levingston ran sharp routes and had very soft hands.
8. Terry McLaurin, WR, Cathedral, IN (2014) 3+ DI offers
McLaurin was one of the fastest receivers in the camp.
9. Vinnie Palazeti, OL, Powers Catholic, MI (2013) Ball State Signee
This lineman was put together and really tough at the point of attack.
10. Jack Sherry, QB, South Oldham, KY (2013) Morehead State Signee
Sherry had the size and arm strength that college coaches covet.

Snodgrass was an exceptional route runner with soft hands.
12. John Stepec, DL, Lake Catholic, OH (2013) Toledo Signee
Stepec had no bad body weight and was very powerful at the point of attack.
13. Mike Tyler, DL, Brecksville Broadview Heights, OH (2013) Stanford Signee
This was his coming out party as he dominated the one-on-ones.
2013 NUC Midwest Five-Star Pre-Registration Players to Watch
Fairfield, Ohio- The NUC makes its second trip to the Midwest for the Five-Star Showcase.Who will be the next NUC Midwest Five-Star standout that comes into the camp with little fanfare but eventually becomes a household name? Below are just some of the names to get excited about as over 100 athletes are preregistered for this event.
The event takes place at the Fairfield Freshman Campus in Fairfield, OH. The Showcase will begin at 1 p.m. sharp this Saturday. NUC CEO/President Dave Schuman and his trusty sidekick NUC VP/National Analyst Barry Every will be on hand. We look forward to some stiff competition in the one-on-ones.
