ROBBINSVILLE, N.J. -- Buddy Brown, one of the top linebackers in the Class of 2013, competed in the NUC Five-Star East Showcase at Robbinsville Fieldhouse in Robbinsville, N.J. on Sunday.
Brown is currently sifting through 18 offers, but has narrowed his list down to eight schools -- Rutgers, Penn State, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, UNC, Oregon and South Florida --  Brown told Nationalunderclassmen.com.
Brown was the fourth ranked linebacker at the star-studded showcase. He's a long linebacker with very good athleticism, fantastic size at 6-2, 201 and is very physical in contact.
The 'backer from Williamstown High School in New Jersey is looking for a program where he feels at honme.
"How I fit in, the atmosphere of the school," said Fisher of his top priority for a school. "I'm going to be living there and everything. I have to take a strong consideration in the academics. How the people are around there, how they're gonna treat me. How the football team is, the coaches. And I want to win, too."
Brown feels that his dedication to the film room will separate him from other players at the next level.
"My knowledge of the game, I'm always studying," said Brown . "My athleticism helps me out a lot, too. I study so many fundamental things so when I see it on the field it's a lot quicker. I make plays happen."
Brown had a solid junior campaign, but thought his team could have done better.
"We went 8-2, I thought we could have been a little bit better," said Brown. "I had around 85 tackles, five forced fumbles, six pass deflections and two fumble recoveries."
Though Brown has already commanded so many offers, there are still some things he wants to improve on as he prepares for his senior season.
"I want to continue to get faster, more physical - I want to use my hands more," said Brown. "When I blitz, I don't want to get caught up on one guy.
"I want to make more plays, just be that playmaker."
