LB Kight Dallas from Arabia Mountain High School in Lithonia, Georgia is an athletic and hard-working football player who has the look of a college starting linebacker and the mindset of a leader. Dallas stands 6'2 220lbs and has the full complement of skills that college coaches look for. He is fast, athletic, smart and will not let anyone out work him. Dallas loves the game of football and he could not see himself doing anything else.
"I was born to be a football player and I work hard every day inside the classroom and on the practice field to make sure I absolutely do not ruin any opportunity I have of reaching my dream to play college football, said Dallas."
Dallas represents himself in a good fashion both on and off the field and tries to be a leader in everything he does. He puts forth major effort in everything he puts his mind to and he is still searching for that first official college offer to arrive. Dallas has seen multiple BCS level football programs show interest and continue to give him great feedback, but have yet to extend that first offer.
"My recruitment is going pretty good so far but I am still waiting for the first offer to finally arrive, said Dallas." I have received a lot of attention from Auburn, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech. I am beginning to hear a lot from Clemson, Troy, Indiana and MTSU as well. I am actually taking an unofficial visit this weekend to Clemson and I am real excited about seeing everything about their college campus. I am not sure when that first offer will arrive but I am being patient and hoping that offer comes soon."
Several schools have seemed real interested in what Dallas has to offer and increased attention seems to be happening each and every day. He has taken a few unofficial visits at this time and his plan is to see several college campuses this offseason and get a feel for what each school recruiting him has to offer.
"So far I have been able to visit Auburn, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech and I plan to see several other places this summer, said Dallas." I really would like to see as many college campuses as I can. I really enjoyed my visits to both Auburn and Vanderbilt and I would actually claim Auburn to be my leader at this time. I really enjoyed myself down there and I think they have a great program that churns out big time talent. I do like Auburn but I am also wide open and willing to listen to anyone."
Dallas is looking for a place that will not only give him the best chance to succeed on the football field but also help him earn the best college education he can. He wants to be at a place that puts an emphasis on both athletics and academics. Dallas believes that a college degree is important and something that will take him a long way regardless of what happens with his football future.
"When I end up choosing my school it will be because of the great support system they have on campus when it comes to academics and athletics, said Dallas." I want to be at a place that takes their academics just as important as their athletics. I am a football player but I know that football may not last forever, so I want to be sure I earn the absolute best college education I can. I want to be able to live a successful life for both me and my family. I don't have any plans to make any decisions anytime soon and the next couple of months should be real busy for me."
