Michigan State University had long been interested in the talents of QB Damion Terry (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) and on Tuesday the Spartans extended an official offer his way and he could not be more excited about seeing that first offer finally arrive.

"It is a total blessing that I have an official offer to play football in college, said Terry." Michigan State has been recruiting me for quite a while and when they contacted me on Tuesday they said they were excited about my skill set as a quarterback and they really wanted me to be a part of their program. The Spartans have a great program and they will be a school I take a strong look at throughout my recruitment."

Terry is a 6'4 210lb quarterback who has a bevy of talents that translate well to the college game. He has a big arm that allows him to make throws all over the field as well as have the athleticism to create something when the play breaks down. Terry has the big body to take the punishment from the defense and keep making plays for his team. He is a creator and playmaker and someone who has the potential to become an outstanding signal caller at the collegiate football level.

"I like to think of myself as a quarterback who enjoys staying in the pocket and making the correct throw, said Terry." I am a pass first quarterback who looks down the field before I even consider leaving the pocket on my feet. I am athletic and can run for the needed yards but I prefer to throw it first. I am still improving in all areas as a quarterback and I believe I have the right mindset and attitude to become the best quarterback I can be if I put in the work."

Several coaches from major football programs have been intrigued by Terry's talents for quite some time. It took a while for that first offer to arrive but now with the Spartans offer in the fold, more schools could be coming through soon with more offers and give Terry much more to think about inside his recruitment.

"I have been getting steady interest from several big named schools for a while now and I am just patiently waiting to see who all comes through with offers, said Terry." I have been getting a lot interest from schools like West Virginia, Boston College, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Ohio State and others. I am not too sure as to who could offer next but I would say West Virginia, Boston College and Temple have been showing me the most attention and could eventually become my next offer."

Terry is taking his recruitment slow and not trying to rush into any decisions. He wants to sit back and see who all becomes seriously interested in him before he is ready to make a final list. Terry is looking for a place that will help him become the best quarterback he can be as well as a place that will push him to be the best overall person he can become.

"I am currently wide open to any and all schools and willing to listen to anyone that is interested in offering me, said Terry." I don't have a time table on when I would like to make my final decision. I just received my first offer so I know I have a long way to go and the process will only become more hectic as time goes on. I want to be somewhere that will give me the best opportunity to learn both on the field as well as off of it. College should be a fun experience for everyone so I plan to look into every detail I can when it comes to choosing my college destination."
