Everett, Massachusetts (Everett HS) OT John Montelus is a physical and athletic lineman who has seen his offer list grow within a short period of time and on Thursday he received two major offers from schools who have a long line of football tradition and are both known for putting out pro level offensive lineman.

"I received an offer from Nebraska on Thursday morning and later that afternoon I picked up another offer from the Ohio State Buckeyes. It felt great to receive those two offers and I know what kind of tradition both schools have made from being such great football programs. I feel honored to receive offers from schools that I think could be great for me in both academics and football, said Montelus."

John has seen his offer sheet grow to eleven total offers now with more schools possibly offering anytime soon. He has seen several high major college coaches come through and talk with him about joining their football programs but Montelus is taking his process slow and not worrying too much about who does or does not offer him.

"I haven't really thought too much about my recruitment so far and I am not sure on when I will start. I am honestly focusing all of my attention on my grades right now and letting my recruitment handle itself for the time being. Don't get me wrong I am so happy and blessed that I have colleges interested in giving me a full ride to play football with their programs, but I understand this is a long process and something I need to take my time with and not make a decision I will end up regretting one day, said the Everett High School lineman."

John Montelus is a physically gifted young man who has massive potential for the collegiate football game and he has yet to reach his maximum capabilities as an offensive lineman. Along with his 6'5 305lb frame, Montelus has quick feet as well as the range to move up and down the offensive line and keep his defender off his quarterback's backside. John is also very smart and understands his position and knows how makes all the calls along the offensive line. He has the versatility and talent to play both on the inside or the outside of the offensive line and he wouldn't mind playing either position in college.

"I consider myself a hard-working, physical and smart lineman who could do anything asked of him along the offensive line. I am willing to anything to help my team win. If I need to move positions on the line then I am willing to do that. I am a complete teammate and I am all about winning rather than receiving personal accolades. One thing no one will have over me is being mean and physical. I do not take anything from nobody on the football field and my motor does not run out until the game is over. I think I have several traits that work on the college level and I do look forward to taking my game there and proving to myself I have everything it takes to compete with the best of the best of college football, said Montelus."
