The National Underclassmen would like to salute some of the top high school coaches in America! We have selected players from different regions of the country and each is committed to separate colleges. Below are comments from the head coaches that have helped mold the careers of some of the top prospects in the country. CEO/President Dave Schuman, National Analyst Barry Every, NUC Vice President Tony Centrella, and NUC Vice president Vinny Pacelli are giving a huge shout out to the coaches that have made our jobs fun and exciting! |
Alex Balducci, DL, Central Catholic, OR Oregon Commit (NUC West Top60) Alex is a throwback type of football player; a blue collar work ethic and humility have served him well in his development as a football player and as a young man. Standing at 6'4 and 280lbs., Alex is physically imposing and strong, but his quickness, agility and running ability are what set him apart from others. Alex has spent a great deal of time developing his God given talents and has been a great leader by example to his teammates as well as the younger players in our program. He has followed a long line of Division I lineman at Central Catholic and learning from their examples, elevated his play and performance and leaves as arguable the most decorated player in school history - 1st team All-Conference Offensive and Defensive lineman, Mt. Hood Conference Defensive Player of the Year, 1st team All-State Offensive and Defensive lineman, State of Oregon Defensive Player of the Year and U.S. Army All-American. - HC Steve Pyne |
Vince Biegel, LB, Lincoln, WI Wisconsin Commit (NUC Ultimate150/NUC Midwest Top60) Vince is a tremendous player & person! His confidence, competitiveness and mental toughness are stronger because of his heart, compassion for others and his humility. Vince has an inner drive to be the best he can be and it shows in every drill we run in practice. The way he plays on Friday nights is due to his tireless, persistent practice preparation. - HC Tony Biolo |
Adam Butler, OL, Duncanville, TX Vanderbilt Commit (NUC Southwest Top60) Adam Butler, a sleeper, a great pickup for Vanderbilt. He has excellent feet, good knee bender, very agile and athletic for a kid who is 6'4 ½ - 285. He has tremendous upside and will definitely be an impact player! Has the complete package: discipline, great work ethic and attitude! - HC Jeff Dicus |
Ty Darlington, OL, Apopka, FL Oklahoma Commit (NUC Ultimate150/Southeast Top60) Ty is not as big or as naturally talented as some other top level offensive linemen, but he has MADE himself a top prospect through literally years of hard work, both on and off the field. His strengths are toughness, intelligence (school Valedictorian), versatility (he has played all five OL positions), and the strongest work ethic I have ever seen in a person. I think that this work ethic will let him continue to rise up the depth chart and become an excellent college player. - HC Richard Darlington |
Deontay Greenberry, WR, Washington Union, CA Notre Dame Commit (NUC Ultimate150/NUC West Top60) Deontay Greenberry is a great leader who plays with supreme confidence. He has the unique ability to raise the level of play of his teammates. He is as competitive an athlete as I have coached in my 24 years. His athleticism and strength are tremendous attributes. A great playmaker! - HC Jeff Freitas |
Francis Kallon, DL, Central Gwinnett, PA Georgia Tech Commit (NUC Southeast Top100) Francis is an outstanding young man and an incredible athlete. He has more potential than any player I have ever coached or actually ever seen. By that I mean you take a kid that knows nothing about the sport or ever watched it and he plays one year and dominates not only with raw athleticism but with some technique. To finish the year with over 70 tackles, 9 sacks and blocking 5 kicks and "not know" what to do was amazing. He grew mentally and physically from the first day of spring practice when he was 6'5 241 to his current 6'6 265. He was learning every day at practice and in every game. His potential to be great at the next level is tremendous. - HC Todd Wofford |
Trey Keenan, OL, Argyle, TX Texas Tech Commit (NUC Southwest Top60) Trey is a tremendous athlete. He can dominate a defender when he is run blocking as well as pass blocking. - HC Todd Rodgers |
Justin Meredith, TE, T.L. Hanna, SC Tennessee Commit (NUC Southeast Top100) Justin is a prototypical tight end. He's tall, strong, fast, athletic, and smart. He's a high character kid from a great family. Justin and the University of Tennessee will benefit mutually. - HC Kenya Fouch |
Chris Muller, OL, Boyertown Area, PA Rutgers Commit (NUC Ultimate150/NUC East Top50) Chris is the most athletic lineman I have ever coached. He is big, strong, and quick and should have a great career at the next level. - HC Mark Scisly |
Jeff Thomas, WR, Duncanville, TX Colorado Commit (NUC Southwest Top60) Jeff Thomas has great athletic ability, great foot quickness for his height to release off the line vs. press coverage, and he has the "it" factor about himself! He can go up and get the ball because of his height and jumping ability! Look for him to make an immediate impact at Colorado. He has tremendous upside to him. - HC Jeff Dicus |
