Kenny Lacy from Phoenix, Arizona (Mountain Pointe HS) is a budding star for the recruiting class of 2013 who is not even close to filling out his full capabilities as a football player yet, and he already has just about every college coach interested in his talents. Kenny stands 6'5 260lbs with long arms and the athleticism to move up and down the offensive line. He is exceptionally athletic for a young man his size. Kenny is a basketball player as well as being a standout football star and those skills he has for the basketball court transition over well to the football field and it allows him to become the most athletic player on the field at any given time. "I love playing sports and growing up I was taught that playing multiple sports would help me become the best overall athlete I could be. I think playing multiple sports has now put me in the position to excel at one certain sport and that sport is football. I love playing football, and I look forward to every moment I spend with my teammates. I am still learning about the game, but I am a sponge that is willing to learn it all and become the best player I can be, said Lacy."
College coaches from all around the country have become enamored with the talents that Kenny Lacy possesses. Lacy has tremendous potential and he has the talents to one day become one of the best linemen in the college game. So far Kenny has received two official offers from the University of Arizona and the Purdue Boilermakers while others like Michigan, Michigan State, USC, California, Tennessee and UCLA are showing strong interest and will eventually extend him an offer. Kenny is getting tons of attention from college football programs and he already has the look of one of the top recruited players for next year's recruiting class. He is receiving new interest from new schools every day, and he is just taking in all the attention and taking things slow with his process, "I have been hearing from coaches for a while now, and I love every minute of it. I am just now starting to think about my college recruitment since I am now heading into the last year of high school, so I am planning to takes things slow and give each school an equal shot at recruiting me. I have always liked USC, Oregon and Texas growing up but I don't have any favorites right now and I am open to everyone, said Lacy."
Kenny is headed to Texas this weekend for the Army All-American Combine for rising juniors, and he is looking to display his talents and show everyone that he is one of the best prospects out there, "I am so excited about going to the Army All-American combine because I know the best talent in the 2013 recruiting class will be there. I want to go up against the best competition I can, because you learn more about yourself as a player when you play against the best of the best, said the Mountain Pointe High School linemen." Lacy likes performing under the brightest of lights and he doesn't mind playing under the most pressure possible. He embraces competition to its fullest and he thinks his game shines the most when the game is on the line, "I love pressure packed moments. Those moments are when you find out if you are man enough to get the job done. Football is a game where one key moment could turn the whole game around and favor the other team towards a victory. I live for those moments and I can't wait to see what those moments feel like during a college football game, said Lacy."
Kenny Lacy still has some room to grow, and he still has several things he needs to learn about the offensive tackle position. His potential is unlimited and he has the talents to reach the highest level of football possible. Kenny is a hard worker who always likes to put in time inside the weight room as well as staying on the practice field so he can learn as much as he can about his position. "I love learning as much as I can about the game of football. I am a sports nut that is always around sports. If I am not in the weight room then I am on the practice field learning every detail I can about my position. My plan is to become the best offensive linemen in the country for my senior year and then eventually become the best offensive tackle in college, said Lacy."
Coaches from all around the country are hot on the trails of Kenny Lacy and his offer sheet should extend with the best college football programs in the country on it. He is preparing to hit the road the spring and summer to see as many college campuses as he can. Kenny wants to see what all there is out there to offer him in a college football program and see what place fits him the most. Kenny is looking to take his time when it comes to making his college decision, and according to him the Army All-American game looks to be the perfect place for him to announce his college choice, "I am making plans to visit tons of schools this summer and see exactly everything that is out there and be sure I make the absolute best decision for me. I plan to take my time with my decision and come up with a list of schools that I feel the most comfortable with and choose the best place for me. I think around this time next year at the Army All-American game is when I would like to make a commitment. It gives me enough time to sort through all my choices as well as being on a stage where everyone will be tuned in to see what college I end up picking. This next year should be a blast, and I am defiantly looking forward to it, said Lacy."
