Cleveland, Ohio (Cleveland Heights HS) OT Kyle Dodson is considered one of the top offensive lineman prospects coming out of the Midwest for this recruiting season and he has been committed to the University of Wisconsin for several months now, but could be now starting to look in a different direction. Kyle is a massive (6'6 300 lbs) and athletic bookend tackle prospect who was sought after by just about every big named college in country before he made his commitment to the Badgers, but now he could be listening to others once again.
"I am still committed to Wisconsin but I am listening to others out there. I am not looking at too many schools but I am listening to Southern Cal, Ohio State, Auburn and Mississippi State. All four of those schools have stayed in consistent contact with me and have continued to pursue to me even though I was committed to Wisconsin, and right now I am liking what they all have to say, said Dodson."
Kyle would be a great addition to the Wisconsin football team and could end up being the next great lineman to come out of Madison, but he is currently trying to make his mind up on if he thinks the Badger football program would be the absolute best fit for him.
"I love everything about Wisconsin and I could see myself playing and living there for the duration of my college life, but I want to make sure there isn't another place out there that better fits my needs and skills. I might try to make a couple of visits before Signing Day, but I am not sure if I will be able to do that. I just want to be 100% sure that Wisconsin is the best place for me, said Dodson."
Kyle Dodson is a naturally strong and athletic lineman that has loads of potential. He is a highly intelligent player who knows what he is doing on the field and he focuses a lot of his spare time on studying film and watching pro players go about their business on the field. He holds former Wisconsin Badger lineman Joe Thomas in high regard and he would love to follow in his footsteps and become the next great lineman from Madison.
"I love watching football and studying other players. I try to learn as much as I can about being an offensive lineman because I want to become the best lineman in the game. I love to watch Joe Thomas play because he is big, athletic and he never lets his man by. I like to think I play the same way, so going to Wisconsin and being a part of the same program that Thomas was in would be a great opportunity and a reason as to why I end signing with the Badgers, said Dodson."
Signing Day is right around the corner and Dodson plans to use all the time he has left to come up with the best decision for him. He plans to continue to listen to schools all the way until the last minute and he claims that Signing Day may be the day he makes his final decision.
"I don't have a whole lot of time left, but I do have enough time to make sure that Wisconsin is my future college home. I do like what I am hearing from USC, Auburn, Ohio State and Mississippi State and I plan to listen to every detail they tell me. I wish I could have had my mind completely made up before now but this is a huge decision for me and I just want to be sure I take the right avenue that will end up leading me to a successful life for me and my family, said Dodson."
