Max Staver Pope John Paul II HS, TN 9th QB #255 | Staver must have been starving because this 6'4 207 lb standout was amongst the hungriest players at the combine. Staver worked his tail off throughout the day, with an 8'4 broad jump, 18 reps at 155 lbs on the bench press, a tremendous arm, awesome accuracy, nice ball placement and terrific footwork earning him the QB MVP. |
Michael Payne Dougherty HS, GA 9th QB #9 | Payne brought exactly that to the defense, earning himself the Leadership Award. The 5'11 187 lb Payne has a great work ethic, is vocal, kept his team together during the 7 on 7's, bench pressed 135 lbs 20 times, and was accurate with his passes. There sure is a lot to like about this kid! |
Cortney Lowery Dwyer HS, FL 9th RB #164 | Lowery was awarded the RB MVP. The 5'5 164 lb phenom had an 8'5 broad jump, ran a 4.5 shuttle, 4.63 40, bench pressed 135 lbs 18 times, is a natural born play maker, runs awesome routes and comes off the line with power. |
James Cox Northridge HS, AL 9th WR #104 | Cox established himself as an elite prospect after winning the Overall MVP award. Graciously gifted at 6'0 177, Cox had an 8'8 broad jump, ran a 4.52 shuttle, 4.53, made numerous big plays during the on 1's, did a great job of catching the ball away from his body and was near unstoppable. |
Jeffrey Canady Knox Central HS, KY 9th WR #22 | Canady, 5'10.5 195, starred once again, earning himself the WR MVP. A phenomenal athlete for a freshman, Canady had a 31.5 inch vertical, 9'0 broad jump, ran a 4.29 shuttle, 4.64 40, bench pressed 135 lbs 27 times and performed at a high level during individual period. Canady looks like the total package. |
OJ Howard Autauga Academy, AL 9th WR #65 | Howard nabbed the TE MVP award. With tremendous size for a frosh at 6'4 205, Howard had a 9'0 broad jump, ran a 4.56 shuttle, bench pressed 135 lbs 24 times and was an elite performer during 1 on 1's. Between his athleticism and size, Howard is a problem for the defense. |
Josh Cardiello Buford HS, GA 9th OL #465 | Cardiello was feeling like a king after being named OL MVP. A monster at 6'2 284, Cardiello bench pressed 155 lbs 18 times, had good strength, strong hands, solid footwork and listened to the coaches. |
Harry Brown Largo HS, FL 9th LB #301 | Brown, 5'9 184, won the LB MVP award. With a 31 inch vertical, 8'2 broad jump, 4.57 shuttle, 4.58 40 and well rounded skills at his position, Brown was first in class. |
Shaquille Wiggins Westlake HS, GA 9th CB #196 | Wiggins earned the DB MVP following a terrific performance. The 5'7.5 143 lb cornerback had an 8'7 broad jump, ran a 4.57 shuttle, displayed tremendous hips, awesome footwork and frustrated the offense throughout the 1 on 1's. |
DeCarlo Middleton Gadsen City HS, AL 9th DL #262 | Middleton was the main man, taking home the DL MVP. The 6'0 252 lb prospect had terrific size, great hands, impressive quickness, good hips and is a hard worker. |
Larry Cage Zachary HS, LA 9th DL #384 | Cage was sitting atop the throne following his Combine King winning performance. The exceptionally athletic 6'2 178 lb d-lineman had a 30 inch vertical, 9'3 broad jump, ran a 4.61 shuttle, 4.58 40 and bench pressed 155 lbs 16 times. |
George Williams UMS Wright Prep, AL 9th RB #303 | Williams, 5'9 183, was the Strongest Man award winner. The powerful running back bench pressed 135 lbs a ridiculous 64 times, had a 9'6 broad jump, 29.5 inch vertical and ran a 4.66 shuttle. Few, if any, running backs have this kind of strength. |
Joshua Garcia Trinity Christian Academy, FL 9th OL #387 | Garcia won the Strongest Lineman award. The 5'6 242 lb Garcia tossed up 155 lbs 28 times. |
Tyler Jackson Muscle Shoals HS, AL 9th RB #102 | Jackson seemingly did it all, taking home the Combine King and Fastest Man awards. The tremendously athletic 5'7 153 lb running back had a 32 inch vertical, 9'9 broad jump, ran a 4.42 shuttle and 4.43 40. Jackson is literally in a league of his own from an athletic standpoint. |
Leon McQuay Armwood HS, GA 9th S #162 | McQuay won the coveted Dodie Donell award. The 6'0.5 177 lb McQuay had a 31.5 inch vertical, ran a 4.35 shuttle, 4.57 40, bench pressed 135 lbs 17 times and did an awesome job during the 1 on 1's. |
