Ryne Rankin East River HS, FL 9th LB #125 | Rankin definitely ranked himself amongst the elite after winning the freshman Overall MVP and Combine King awards. The 6'1 188 lb phenom had a 29.5 inch vertical, bench pressed 135 lbs 24 times, had exceptional ball skills, great acceleration, tremendous strength, fished all his plays and was just all around dominant. Rankin is a superstar in the making. |
Stacy Noble Jr. Fort Pierce HS, FL 9th LB #86 | Noble, 5'8 213, was the freshman LB MVP and Strongest Man award winner. Noble bench pressed 135 lbs 40 times, had good hips, impressive footwork and applied a ton of pressure off the line. |
Matthew McMahon William T. Dwyer HS, FL 9th WR #107 | McMahon took home the freshman WR MVP award. The athletic 5'7 157 lb standout had a 28 inch vertical, 8'9 broad jump, ran a 4.4 shuttle had very good hands, quick feet, ran nice routes and has the potential to play multiple positions. |
Kevin Anderson Boca Raton Community HS, FL 9th QB #97 | Anderson earned the freshman QB MVP and Leadership awards following an impressive day at the combine. The 6'1 181 lb prospect ran a 4.68 shuttle, had a good arm, solid footwork and threw a terrific ball. Unlike many QB's his age, Anderson is a natural born leader who knows how to keep the offense intact. Impressive to say the least. |
Jalen Gooden Trinity Catholic HS, FL 9th RB #86 | Gooden, 5'4 155, came up with the freshman RB MVP award after an impressive display of quickness, good hands and terrific body control put him atop the freshman class. |
Darnell Taylor East Lee County HS, FL 9th RB #5 | Taylor was the Fastest Man award winner of the freshman class. The 5'6 145 lb speedster ran a 4.77 40, 4.8 shuttle and had an 8'0 broad jump. |
James Brooks Ocala Forest HS, FL 10th WR #116 | Brooks won the sophomore Overall MVP award. Powerfully built at 5'9 192, Brooks had a 33.5 inch vertical, 9'3 broad jump, ran a 4.34 shuttle, 4.5 40, bench pressed 155 lbs 25 times and did it all during 1 on 1's. Brooks has big time ability. |
Randy Johnson Miami Norland HS, FL 10th RB/WR #105 | Just like the baseball player whom he shares a name with, Randy Johnson is an exceptional athlete who has firepower within; albeit with quickness rather than a fastball. The 5'9 169 lb Johnson won the sophomore Combine King and Fastest Man awards after dropping jaws with his 37.5 inch vertical, 10'0 broad jump, 4.41 shuttle run and 4.47 40. |
Feddie Davey Miami Norland HS, FL 10th LB #128 | Davey earned the sophomore LB MVP award after an outstanding showing at the combine. The 5'8.5 185 lb Davey had great hips, applies a tremendous amount of pressure, nice footwork and is a good athlete too. During the testing, Davey had an 8'8 broad jump, ran a blazing 4.24 shuttle, 4.52 40 and bench pressed 155 lbs 25 times, making him pretty darn close to the total package. |
Aukeemian Mills Okeechobee HS, FL 10th WR #86 | With terrific hands, the ability to make clutch catches and nice route running, Mills earned himself the WR MVP. The 5'11.5 167 lb Mills was a solid athlete as well, jumping 30 inches in the vertical leap, running a 4.35 shuttle and 4.60 40. |
Trenton Saunders Benjamin HS, FL 10th OL #11 | Sanders manned down the line throughout the 1 on 1's en route to winning the OL MVP. The 6'4 264 lb Sanders is a terrific athlete for a lineman with great speed, quick feet, an aggressive style and impressive conditioning. |
John Brockman Glades Central HS, FL 10th CB #14 | Brockman was the man amongst the defensive backs, taking home the DB MVP. Brockman had an 8'3 broad jump, ran a 4.61 shuttle, did a great job of jamming the WR's, got terrific leverage, plays physically and is a natural at his position. |
James Richardson Pace HS, FL 10th RB #50 | Richardson won the RB MVP award. The 5'5.5 132 lb standout ran a 4.46 shuttle, had great feet, solid hands and did a great job of getting off of the DB's jams. |
Eduardo Garcia Christopher Columbus HS, FL 10th OL #120 | Garcia's exceptional work ethic and refusal to lose earned him the Leadership award. The 6'0 255 lb o-lineman truly set an example of how to perform at a combine while remaining humble. |
