Kirby Shines in Salt Lake!

Centennial HS' Mike Kirby was the top performer of a solid combine last Saturday at Skyline HS. A hard working group of players from Utah, California, Nevada and Colorado came with the same goal but Kirby's performance left him in a class of his own.
The 5'10 186 lb wide out dominated the testing with a 33.5 inch vertical, 9'11 broad jump, 4.5 shuttle and 4.57 40. During 1 on 1's he was THE one with all the eyes in his direction. Kirby had tremendous hands, was strong, coachable, displayed terrific moves and worked his tail off. With one more year of high school football under his belt, Kirby has the makings of a D1 player.
Marcus Poling (Idaho Falls) is a fast, agile and smart defensive back. The 5'10 183 lb standout had a ridiculous 37.5 inch vertical, 9'1 broad jump and ran a 4.46 shuttle. In the 1 on 1's? Forget about it! He had quick feet, unprecedented toughness, good jamming ability and awesome hand eye coordination. In winning the Combine King, DB MVP and Fastest Man awards, Polling made quite an impression at the combine.
Jordan Robles of Salem HS has Donovan McNabb like size at 6'5 249. The QB MVP award winner also has a cannon for an arm, great awareness and well rounded mechanics. He has a lot to offer a team once he takes the snap under center.
Jake Trujillo's World
Roy HS class of 2012 standout Jake Trujillo was jamming the defensive backs like a basketball, shut down the offense and worked tirelessly. Even though he is undersized, the 5'6.5 145 safety earned his stripes as the top player of the sophomore session, fighting tooth and nail every time he stepped up during the 1 on 1's. Trujillo picked off four passes, deflected ten more, had terrific quickness and ran a 4.63 shuttle. He has all the qualities of a team captain.
Skyler Bloom (Green River) is a solid running back with nice athleticism. Bloom, 5'7 153, changes direction well, is light on his feet and runs hard. During the testing, he ran a 4.34 shuttle, had an 8'9 broad jump and 29.5 inch vertical. He has a good running style and won't be easy to take town.
QB Jordan Gehrke (Notre Dame Prep) 5'11 169, stepped up and competed with the juniors as a sophomore. Many athletes who compete with older players struggle due to the difference in talent, but Gherke refused to join that statistic. He was arguably the top QB in all of Salt Lake, zipping the ball downfield as if it were a vortex. Gehrke also had great mechanics and played with an array of confidence.
Sitaleki Finefeulaki: Hard to Pronounce but Easy to Remember
Sitaleki Finefeulaki is a name that few would have a prior of properly pronouncing without help. Finefeulaki is also that good that he has to be referenced one way or another. Whether you call him "Sid", "S.F" "Leki" or any other customized version of Sitaleki Finefeulaki, this 5'10.5 263 lb o-lineman earned his respect by dominating during the freshman session's 1 on 1s.
The Kearns HS standout has quick feet, a strong punch, plays physical and bench pressed 155 lbs 28 times. The scariest part about him is that he is still growing, therefore will only get bigger and better.
Jake Wadsworth (Fremont) is also a fantastic freshman. The star linebacker scaled in at 5'9 175 and stepped off the field as an MVP award winner after impressing coaches with his 28.5 inch vertical, 24 reps at 135 lbs on the bench press, good feet and mental toughness.
