Tampa Freshman Round Up!
· Leon McQuay (Armwood) was one of the best during the combine. He hustled hard, had a 9'3 broad jump, ran a 4.6 40 and starred during the 1 on 1's... during the sophomore session! The 6'0.5 175 lb McQuay moved a grade up and still dominated, giving me every reason to believe he is a top prospect in the making.
· Adam Lane (Winter Haven) had ice in his veins, taking home his own version of the triple crown with the Overall MVP, Fastest and Strongest Man awards. The 5'7 198 lb standout had an 8'11 broad jump, ran a 4.48 40, bench pressed 135 lbs 54 times and was a man amongst boys during 1 on 1's.
· Drake Haff (LRHS) was a top notch QB. The 6'0 165 lb star had an 8'5 broad jump, great vision, a quick release, strong arm and unprecedented intelligence. Haff's intangibles are impressive and it would be a surprise not to hear about him in the future
· James Peek (Liberty MS) gave us a sneak peak of the talent he possesses. The 5'8.5 138 lb standout won the 8th grade MVP after running an incredible 4.43 shuttle, jumping an 8'5 on the broad in addition to excelling during 1 on 1's. Peek is undoubtedly a top tier incoming freshman.
