Dominick Johnson Panther Creek HS, NC 9th S #63 | Johnson, 6'1 154, was the Freshman Overall MVP. Johnson had an 8'5 broad jump and starred during 1 on 1's. He had good speed, recovered well, good hands and worked hard. |
Kashon McCall New Hanover HS, NC 9th LB #64 | McCall, 5'9 195, won the Freshman LB MVP. McCall bench pressed 135 lbs 24 times and did a terrific job during the individual period, He had great lateral movement, soft hands, nice flexibility and impressive agility. |
Shane Shepard Eugene Ashley HS, NC 8th QB #58 | Shepard was the top QB from the first session and the 8th grade MVP. Shepard, 5'9.5 147, had a great arm and listened to the coaches at all times. |
Jachin Watkins New Bern HS, NC 9th RB #90 | Watkins took home the Overall MVP. At 6'0 215, the muscular Watkins bench pressed 135 lbs 24 times, had an 8'3 broad jump, had good feet, played aggressively and had a good understanding of the game. |
Steven Schaffel Pasquotank County HS, NC 10th OL #85 | Schaffel, 6'1 278, was the OL MVP. Schaffel used his size to his advantage during the individual period, locking down the opposing linemen throughout the session. |
Chance Shepard Eugene Ashley HS, NC 10th QB #59 | Shepard, 6'1.5 185, was the Sophomore Overall MVP and Leadership award winner. Shepard ran a 4.25 shuttle, 4.63 40, hustled throughout the event and had a very good release on his passes. |
Matthew Venters Laney HS, NC 10th S #28 | Venters took home the Sophomore DB MVP. The 5'11 175 lb standout had an 8'7 broad jump, rana 4.33 shuttle, bench pressed 155 lbs 19 times, had great feet, equally good hips and the attitude of a champion. |
Shane Whaley Parrott Academy HS, NC 10th LB #65 | Whaley, 6'0 213, won the Sophomore LB MVP. Whaley ran a 4.68 shuttle, bench pressed 155 lbs 22 times and was a monster during 1 on 1's. He listened well, had great ability, great speed downhill and a quick reaction. |
Christopher Bradshaw Kinston HS, NC 10th RB #33 | Bradshaw 5'8.5 172, grabbed the Sophomore RB MVP award after a terrific performance. Bradshaw had an 8'9 broad jump, ran a 4.31 shuttle, bench pressed 155 lbs 27 times, ran a 4.61 shuttle and had complete talent during 1 on 1's. Bradshaw can really do it all! |
Tevin Clay Laney HS, NC 10th WR #88 | Clay, 6'0.5 180, took home the Sophomore WR MVP. Clay had an 8'6 broad jump, bench pressed 155 lbs 18 times, ran smooth routes, had good hands and terrific hand eye coordination. |
Kyle Brown Kinston HS, NC 10th WR #73 | Brown was co-Sophomore WR MVP. Brown had an 8'9 broad jump, and good hands. |
Collin Anderson Hillside HS, NC 10th QB #62 | Anderson, 6'4.5 166, was the Sophomore QB MVP. Anderson threw a good deep ball, has command of his passes and a good release. |
Keilin Rayner North Brunswick HS, NC 10th DL #56 | Rayner, 6'2.5 210, was the Sophomore DL MVP and Strongest Man. Rayner bench pressed 185 lbs 18 times, had an 8'10 broad jump, ran a 4.63 40, had terrific speed, good hands and was explosive. A well rounded player indeed. |
Kortez Washington North Johnston HS, NC 10th DL #62 | Washington, 5'11 189, was the Sophomore Leadership award winner. Washington was vocal through the event, hustled as if there were no tomorrow, had an 8'7 broad jump and worked hard in 1 on 1's. |
Jevonte Jones Kingston HS, NC 10th WR #24 | Jones, 5'11 168, was crowned Sophomore Combine King and Fastest Man after a terrific day on the football field. Jones had a Lebron James like 34 inch vertical, off the charts 10'8 broad jump, ran a 4.49 40 and did a nice job during 1 on 1's. Athletes like this are difficult to find! |

NUC provided wonderful opportunities for my son to see what competition is like away from home and the chance to measure his talent with those who are just as talented and more talented than he. NUC made it so that he comes home and works hard at improving himself. Thank you NUC
