Casey Jahn Northwest Christian HS, AZ 10th RB #64 | Jahn, 5’11 192, was the Strongest Man award winner and a good all around athlete. Jahn bench pressed 155 lbs 34 times, had an 8’5 broad jump, ran a 4.21 shuttle and 4.65 40. | |
Hakim Mathieu Hamilton HS, AZ 10th RB #102 | Mathieu won the Leadership award after displaying tremendous heart, dedication and poise on the field. Mathieu, who also had an 8’9 broad jump and ran a 4.58 shuttle, is the prototypical player you see on the field with a big C on his jersey. | |
Zack Gutierrez Casa Grande HS, AZ 10th OL #10 | Gutierrez, 5’10 227, took home the OL MVP. Gutierrez moves his feet very well and uses his hands exceptionally. | |
Dwight Melvin Fair Fax HS, AZ 10th DL #89 | Melvin, 6’0.5 239, won the DL MVP after a solid performance. Melvin had a 27.5 inch vertical, 8’3 broad jump and was physical, quick and had excellent moves during 1 on 1’s. He is an all around tremendous lineman. | |
Guy Williams Cactus HS, AZ 10th LB #60 | This guy can flat out play! At 5’9 189, Williams won the LB MVP. Williams ran a 4.6 shuttle and was a stud during 1 on 1’s. Williams’ man on man coverage was nothing short of sensational. | |
Marcu Brantley Gilbert HS, AZ 10th S #9 | All hail King Brantley! Brantley, 5’8 169, was crowned Combine King after destroying the stat sheets. Brantley had a 33.5 inch vertical, 8’6 broad jump, ran a 3.95 shuttle, 4.44 40 and bench pressed 155 lbs 20 times. Brantley’s aforementioned athleticism will take him a long way. | |
Marquis Bundy Chavez HS, AZ 10th 10th WR #27 | Bundy, 6’1 177, grabbed the MVP after sowing an uncanny ability to get his hands on the football. Bundy had an 8’3 broad jump, displayed great hands, ran solid routes and created separation between himself and the receiver. | |
LeAndre Vaughn Agua Fria HS, AZ 10th CB #32 | Vaughn, 5’8 148, won the DB MVP. The athletically gifted Vaughn had a 30 inch vertical and 9’2 broad jump while displaying great hips/feet, playing aggressive and the ability o break on the ball. | |
Jordan Walker Rockhurst HS, MO 10th RB #70 | Walker, 5’10.5 179, won the RB MVP. Walker ran through the competition with his 9’2 broad jump, 4.57 shuttle and by displaying terrific strength during 1 on 1’s. | |
DaVonte Neal Chaperrel HS, AZ 10th WR #29 | For the second consecutive year, DaVonte “Real Deal” Neal demolished the competition en route to winning Overall MVP and the Fastest Man award. Oozing with talent at 5’9.5 167, Neal had a 32 inch vertical, 9’1 broad jump, ran a 4.29 shuttle, 4.41 40 and excelled during 1 on 1’s. He created tremendous separation between himself and the defensive back, is explosive, has great hands and a great understanding of the game. What else can you ask for? | |
Jordan Gehrke Notre Dame Prep HS, AZ 10th QB #34 | Gehrke, 6’0 161, won the QB MVP. Gehrke made a number of terrific throws, has a fast drop step and tremendous accuracy. Looks like we have a winner here! |
