Storm Johnson, Loganville HS, GA Class of 2010:
Johnson fittingly took the 08’ Atlanta combine by storm, wowing coaches with his talents. Johnson has good speed (he runs a 4.5 40) and solid strength (maxing out at 370 lbs on the bench press), thus is difficult to stop. He is tremendous at juking defenders and breaking free down the sideline for big gains. The Storm committed to Miami in November, choosing to join the Hurricanes over Florida State, North Carolina, Penn State, Oregon and Tennessee among others. Storm was a two time NUC RB MVP and on our u100 List.
Future Outlook:
At 6’1 217, Johnson has solid size to go along with his strength. His ability to break free and take off in the open field makes him a player to look out for immediately. While a starting job as a freshman at Miami could be a bit out of reach, expect to see Johnson on the gridiron as a situational back in ’10.
