Alex Lyons, Desoto HS, TX Class of 2012: 

An athletic up and comer, Lyons was rated #2 linebacker at the Top Prospect Camp and won LB MVP at the Dallas Ultimate 100. At the U-100, Lyons had an 8’11 broad jump, ran a 4.58 shuttle and dominated defensively during 1 on 1’s. In terms of stopping an offensive attack, Lyons is one of the very best we’ve seen.

Future Outlook: With speed, quickness and athleticism at 6’0 195, Lyons is a major menace on the gridiron. His world class run stopping ability guided him to 152 tackles (12.7 per game) this past season, and his agility helps him cover the gap quite well. With his junior year on tap, Lyons should see D-1 programs expressing their interest if he continues to bulk up.
