Jovan Johnson Solon HS, OH 11th LB #64	Johnson won the Overall MVP award. At 5'11 197, Johnson had an 8'6 broad jump, ran a 4.42 shuttle, bench pressed 185 lbs 18 times, has great coverage ability, terrific hips and good recovery speed. There is a lot to like about this kid!
James Ester Maple Heights HS, OH 11th CB #87	Ester, 5'10.5 156, was awarded the DB MVP. He has a tremendous 10'0 broad jump, ran a 4.37 shuttle, 4.57 40, is a lockdown d-back, had great jamming ability, tracks the ball well and knows how to neutralize the WR's.
Taven Howell Westerville South HS, OH 11th LB #83	Howell took home the LB MVP. A 6'1 226 lb powerhouse, Howell had an 8'2 broad jump, bench pressed 185 lbs 19 times, is powerful, has a great first step and plays aggressively.
Alex Belconis Mentor HS, OH 11th LB #81	Belconis shared the LB MVP with Howell. The 6'0.5 240 lb Belconis bench pressed 185 lbs 22 times, is fast for his size, has good hips and reads the pass well.
Mitchell Hokarar Perry HS, OH 11th QB #103	Hokarar, 6'1.5 189, won the QB MVP. He has a huge arm, great posture, is accurate with his passes, coachable, ran a 4.50 shuttle and bench pressed 185 lbs 19 times.
Chad West Perry HS, OH 11th DL #94	West was all smiles after winning the DL MVP. The 6'5 227 lb West is athletic, had an 8'6 broad jump, ran a 4.69 shuttle, bench pressed 185 lbs 20 times, has strong hands and terrific potential.
Dana Day Maple Heights HS, OH 11th WR #28	Day had a tremendous one, taking home the WR MVP award. The 5'7.5 159 lber had an 8'9 broad jump, ran a 4.46 shuttle, had awesome hands, runs nice routes and is fast off the line.
Zack Shane Newark Catholic HS, OH 11th DL #90	Shane was the co-DL MVP. The 6'3 227 lb Shane bench pressed 185 lbs 26 times, had good hips, excellent hands, is coachable and had 8'1 broad jump.
Christian Jackson Solon HS, OH 11th RB #82	Jackson, 5'8.5 169, won the RB MVP award. With an 8'9 broad jump, 4.52 shuttle run, 4.61 40, great route running ability, solid hands and good feet, Jackson was first in class.
Chevin Meadows Akron Buchtel HS, OH 11th CB #51	Meadows was the DB MVP. At 5'9.5 181, Meadows had an 8'2 broad jump, ran a 4.55 shuttle, jams the WR's like a basketball and back pedals smoothly
JL Chambers Bedford HS, OH 11th WR #14	Chambers, 5'11.5 176, earned the co-WR MVP. An exceptional athlete, Chambers had a 30.5 inch vertical, 9'9 broad jump, ran a 4.57 shuttle, has good hands, runs nice routes, made adjustments on the fly and has good hips.
Grant Vujanov Cloverleaf HS, OH 11th CB #1	Vujanov was crowned Combine King after dominating during the testing. The 5'9 182 lb d-back had a 34 inch vertical, 9'8 broad jump, ran a 4.28 shuttle, 4.60 40 and bench pressed 185 lbs 20 times.
Trenton Rivera St. Edward HS, OH 11th OL #149	Rivera won the OL MVP. A monstrous 6'1.5 267 lber, Rivera bench pressed 185 lbs 22 times, had good technique, strong hands, is aggressive and coachable.

Rising prospects look to come up big in Cleveland!

Cleveland's Bedford HS will host a highly anticipated combine this Saturday and Sunday where a talented group of athletes will give it their all with hopes of  impressing decision makers at the next level. Cleveland's past combines have produced success stories, with multiple D1 bound players attending in the past, but the class of 10' is expected to be the best yet.

"Cleveland's registration rate has gone up each year", said NUC CEO & President David Schuman. "More athletes equals more top level talent, so I am excited to see what this weekend holds."

Topping Cleveland's 09 class were Akron bound linebacker Nico Caponi and running back Tyson Gulley, who is headed to Syracuse this fall. Both were elite performers and signed their LOI's after competing at the combine. Twinsburg's Devon Sanders is also expected to end up at a notable program shortly, with five schools currently interested in the 5'10 180 lb outside linebacker.

"We the underclassmen last year were terrific as well", stated Schuman. "Most of the kids are going to come back bigger, stronger, faster, smarter and more mature, so this should be a weekend to remember."

Current 8^th/9^th graders are slated to compete at 8 am and sophomores are scheduled to hit the field at 1 pm on Saturday, while juniors go for glory this Sunday at 1 pm.

All athletes will partake in pro-style combine testing, including the 40-yard  dash, broad jump, bench press, vertical leap, and shuttle run along with position specific drills, 1 on 1’s and 3 on 3 competitions. In addition to the elite athletes receiving coverage on Rivals and Espn.com, statistics of every participant will be sent out to colleges at all three levels.
