This is the first edition of the West Virginia State rankings for 2014. One thing is for sure Morgantown High School has a great one-two punch coming out of the backfield for this upcoming season. Thomas is your quintessential all-purpose back that is dangerous in space. Commodore does it on both sides of the ball for Mohigans. Jones is an all-purpose back that proved quicker than a South Georgia gnat earning First Team All-State honors. We look forward to updating and expanding these rankings throughout the year.

Thomas ran for 1,503 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2012.
2. Shane Commodore, DB, Morgantown, WV

3. Jalen Jones, RB, Oak Hill, WV
Jones was named AAA First Team All-State in 2012.
