NUC Returns To Arkansas-March 18-19, 2011

Mahwah, NJ (January 20, 2011) - Schuman's National Underclassmen Combine returns to the Natural State for the second straight season when they take over Searcy High School March 18-19, 2011. All participants will have the opportunity to showcase their athletic talents in the 40-yard dash, broad jump, bench press, vertical leap and shuttle run. In addition to official combine testing, athletes partake in individual skill period which includes drills, 1 on 1's and 3 on 3's along with other position oriented competitions.

Following the combine's completion, a special guest speaker will talk to the athletes about recruiting, education and making the right choices. Current 8-10 graders will take takeover the gridiron at 8 am sharp, while juniors have their chance to star at 1 o'clock.

Statistics from every participant will be sent to colleges at all three levels and various recruiting bureaus such as ESPN and Rivals.com will be on hand to scout athletes. Select top performers will have profiles created for them on the aforementioned Rivals.com along with a special write up on nationalunderclassmen.com's brand new recruiting network.

Top performers will be selected for the exclusive Ultimate 100 Camp, which features elite players in their region. The NUC's event staff will also rank the best players by grade. The National Underclassmen Combine is the most respected and longest running football combine and camp in the country. Since their inception in 2005, the NUC guided more than 50,000 athletes from all walks of life. 70 percent of the participants went on to play in college, with 20 percent earning D1 or D1AA scholarships.

Notable alumni include standout rookie Joe Haden of the Cleveland Browns, Marcus Lattimore, Robert Woods, Tyrod Taylor, Mason Walters, Tajh Boyd, and Steve Beauharnis. The NUC also hosted their first ever All World Gridiron Classic game last December in Charleston, SC.

2010 Arkansas NUC Combine Recap

	1. Des Arc athlete Cody Robinson had a really good testing day, and came out the junior session MVP. He came in at 6 foot tall, 192 pounds, and ran a 4.5 forty yard dash. He also did very well in the one on one skill testings. Key Attribute: Great vision, can get to the ball quickly on defense.
	2. Des Arc quarterback Justin Hollis wowed the coaches and those in attendance at the combine. Not only did he have size and speed (6-foot-1, 175, and ran a 4.5 flat forty-yard-dash), he also had a great arm, and was very coachable in the one on one workouts. Key Attributes: Poise and Arm Strength
	3. Rison DB Marquis Walker was the overall combine MVP for the underclassmen session. This is the second time the junior to be has won the MVP at a NUC combine. He came in at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, ran a 4.57 forty-yard-dash, had a 9-foot broad jump, and a 37 inch vertical jump. He also scored exceptionally well in one-on-one defensive back versus wide receiver drills. Key Attributes: Raw Ability, Very coachable
	4. LR Central athlete Marvell Harris also had a great testing day. He came in at 5-foot-8, 168 pounds, runs a 4.52 forty-yard-dash, and runs a 4.37 shuttle. The cousin of Darren McFadden is one to keep your eyes on over the next few years. Key Attributes: Raw Ability, Great Vision
	5. El Dorado athlete John Miles wowed the crowd with not only his broad jump of over 10 feet, he also wowed them with his speed and ability. He ran a 4.5 forty, a 4.25 shuttle, had a 10 foot broad jump, was named RB MVP and Combine King Key Attributes: Speed, great agility
	6. J.A. Fair defensive tackle Tommy Jackson had an outstanding testing day as well. He came in at 6-foot-3, 336 pounds, and was named defensive line MVP. Key Attributes:Size, and Raw Ability
	7. LR Catholic running back Quinta Thomas was one of the top running backs in the underclassmen session. He came in at 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, and ran a 4.53 forty-yard-dash. He won the running back MVP award for the sophomore session. Key Attributes: Good Speed and Good Vision
	8. LR Catholic linebacker Brian Anderson also had an outstanding day. The sophomore came in at 6-foot-1, 220 pounds, had a 4.6 in the forty-yard-dash, and a 4.55 shuttle. He was named MVP of the underclassmen linebacker corps. Key Attributes: Vision and Speed
	9. Searcy wide receiver B.J. Slaughter was one of three receiver's who stood out at the combine. The coaches decided to give out three MVP's for the wide receivers due to several standing out. He came in at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, and ran a 4.5 forty-yard-dash. Key Attributes: Great Vision and Hands
	10. J.A. Fair's Darreal Mems was the second receiver to be named MVP. He came in at 5-foot-10, 172 pounds, and ran a 4.7 forty-yard-dash. He made several big catches in the one-on-one sessions. Key Attributes: Good hands, makes good cuts.
	11. Conway's Jalen Jones was the third receiver to receive the MVP award. He came in at 5-foot-11, 152 pounds, and ran a 4.6 forty-yard-dash. He was a force in the one-on-one sessions, and was catching nearly everything thrown his way. Key Attributes: Great Vison, Gets off the line well.
