NUC Hampton Roads Freshman Top Performance List


HAMPTON ROADS, VA 9TH grade NUC Schuman’s Outstanding Performance List
Demetri McGill
Ocean Lakes HS, VA

DL #97
McGill won the Overall MVP. A monster at 5'11.5 295, McGill bench pressed 155 lbs 26 times, pushed around the opposing linemen during 1 on 1's and had great technique.
Charles Clark
Kings Fork HS, VA
9th
CB #47
Clark brought home the DB MVP after a terrific showing at the combine. The 5'10.5 172 lb Clark had a 30 inch vertical, 8'2 broad jump, ran a 4.61 40 and smothered the WR's during 1 on 1's.
Javaun King
Bethel HS, VA
9th
LB #83
Javaun was sitting atop the throne like a king after being awarded LB MVP. The 5'11 171 lb King had an 8'5.5 broad jump, quick feet, good hand and strong hands.
Shyheim Swinson
Landstown HS, VA
9th
RB #34
Swinson was awarded RB MVP. At 5'7.5 203, Swinson bench pressed 135 lbs 23 times, and starred during 1 on 1's.
Deion Stitt
Bayside HS, VA

Stitt, 5'10 152, brought home the QB MVP. Stitt threw a great ball, remained patient throughout the 1 on 1's and has supreme confidence.
Temuchin Hodges
Salem HS, VA

QB #32
Temuchin "Bucky" Hodges is a gifted QB with a solid future. At 6'4.5 189, Hodges won the co-QB MVP after jumping an 8'6 on the broad, throwing a good ball during 1 on 1's and maintaining consistency.
Ross Douglas
Avon HS, OH
9th
RB #24
Douglas won the Combine King and Fastest Man award. A terrific athlete at 5'8.5 161, Douglas had a 31.5 inch vertical, 8'6 broad jump, ran a 4.54 40 and bench pressed 135 lbs 22 times.
Derrick Green
Hermitage HS, VA
9th
RB #54
Green was the co-Fastest Man award winner. The 5'10.5 229 lb Green ran a 4.56 40, 4.66 shuttle and bench pressed 135 lbs 34 times.
Aaron Poore
Ocean Lakes HS, VA
9th
WR #36
Poore was the WR MVP. The 5'9 154 lb standout had great hands, ran good routes, a 4.53 shuttle and had an 8'9 broad jump.
Corwin Cutler
Indian River HS, VA

QB #40
Cutler, 6'2 166, was the Leadership Award winner. Cutler busted his tail as if there were no tomorrow, maintained confidence throughout the event and  had an 8'3 broad jump.
Justin Watson
Greenbrier MS, VA

Watson had quite a day at the combine en route to winning the 8th Grade MVP. At 5'5.5 133, Watson had an 8'4 broad jump, ran an outstanding 4.45 shuttle and fought tooth and nail with the WR's during 1 on 1's. There is definitely potential here.
Toddrie Bugg

Defensive linemen must really be bugged by the fact that there is no getting past Toddrie Bugg. The 6'1.5 249 lb powerhouse handled his business during the 1 on 1's, causing frustrations for the DL throughout the individual period.
Darius Johnson
Dinwiddle HS, VA

LB #79
Johnson won the Strongest Man award. At 5'9 209, Johnson bench pressed 135 lbs a ridiculous 41 times.
